Was disgusted and appalled at the prejudice and lack of professionalism that they displayed to myself and my family.
I was told there were no rooms, only to find out later she was lying due to the fact that over the phone she didn't like the way I sounded, so she made up a story about truckers coming through and lied to me about it all hmm okaaaay. So I tell the officer I was stuck he goes in and finds all this out for me as he didn't want my family out in the cold. I'm thinking cool we have a place to stay but now I'm thinking she was a bit embarrassed but also salty that she has been caught in an outright lie by a customer and an officer Then after learning my story knowing I couldn't drive my car til the morning she said for me and my family (wife and two kids) to stay it's going to cost 280 for one night.
TAHUNANUI and QUEENSTOWN were cheaper by like 70 BUCKS.
This is in Renwick a little township near blenhim with a dairy a petrol station and a pub that's attached to the motel itself that's it. haha 280 to stay there what In the flying feijoas is going on that's ridiculous
So after receiving nothing but prejudice lies and what feels like big middle finger, here's the

•rooms are cold and damp
•rooms like a prison cell
•dirty bar and place in general
•dogs in the kitchen when staff cooking
•very loud, people wake you up as they get ready for work including staff
•children from staff themselves running around wild loud and in the bar itself
•lack of integrity and respect
•prejudice and untrustworthy
•unwelcoming vibes with bad location

Myself and the Drag It Out crew stayed here while travelling, and we can not thank the staff enough! Lovely staff, delicious food and drinks! The staff helped us so much and we're so welcoming! Comfy beds and nice rooms!

Best of everything, especially perfect for our little Cavalier Lilly, can't wait to go back. Wendy's hospitality and service was excellent ( Lilly says thanks for the rib eye steak pieces)

This place is so welcoming! It's full of kind kiwis and great food. They let us keep our camper van there for two nights while we did a wine tour! Thanks to all the staff

Terrible.
Ordered fish of the day, asked to change the chips for veges. Sure said the bar person.
Never mentioned it would be extra 7.50
Never took the price of the chips off the meal.
It was advertised as fish and chips.
Waited half hour, wasn't busy.
Fish was that small.
. This was so bad it really makes you want to stay home and not dine out.

They make their car park a campground at night! You can stay there with your van. We came inside and asked them if that's for sure okay and they were so friendly and said of course we are! As long as they're open you can use their toilets and at night there are public toilets right across the street. We stayed inside the tavern that night and played cards until they closed. Would definitely recommend to stay there!

Lovely place great food and wonderful atmosphere for housie each week. Highly recommend. Great place to meet people and maybe win at housie if you lucky enough. Housie every Wednesday night. Starts 6-45pm sharp.

Amazing meals. Very generous roast of the day, biggest ham steak ever but wow the apple pie was out of this world, best ever!! Lovely restaurant, great service and thanks to the hardworking staff.
