Our bus trip was welcomed wholeheartedly to this pub when 30 of us descended there unexpectedly...the atmosphere was awesome and friendly...the beer was cheap, so we enjoyed several hours here...would definitely recommend the west Melton tavern for an arvo of convivial drinking...

Service was amazing initially for entree and servings good portion. Mains took so long we left. Such a disappointment.

I am writing this on behalf of my husband who had a luncheon at the Tavern on 10 December:
Unfortunately this was the worst experience I have had, the meals were very unappetizing and very poorly presented. Out of 24 having lunch most were unimpressed with the food and prices. I understand that the Tavern is under New Management so I wish them well in the future but you will need to raise the standard of meals expediently unfortunately I will not be back.

Might be time for this place to reset and lift their standards. Food is nothing short of tasteless poor quality slop and the blonde woman who I'm guessing is the owner is a sleezy creature more interested in hookups than running a restaurant and bar. Yuck!

Had a stone grill. We picked chicken and beef. Beef ok. Chicken that was put on the stone grill was a cooked lump that you would buy at the supermarket deli ready to put in a salad. Needless to say ended up very dry. No veges except mash spuds and gravy, chips, wedges and 3 sauces that were totally wrong for that food. Garlic bread was nice.

Great little pub. Well priced food, and you get a great amount too.

Had fish and chips here a week ago. Definitely the worst fish and chips we have ever had! Been buying F & C here for years but with a change of ownership this has really gone to the dogs! Chips were oily and undercooked. They were well under the 2 scoops we ordered. The fish was more batter than fish. Very disappointing

We paid $60 for 4 fish, a burger and 30 individual chips. Tastes great but incredibly dissatisfied with our 30 chips (2 scoops)
