Waitaki Hotel, simply astonishing. THE FOOD IS INCREDIBLE. The new deck out front is an outstanding addition and provides an entertainment space for all to enjoy. ORDER THE SMASH BURGER, BEEF SCHNITZEL, STEAK, actually no just order everything!! Paula is a magician in the kitchen! Leggy and team behind the bar are helpful and friendly while Andrew, Jill & crew run this place like a well-oiled machine. GOD BLESS THE WAITAKI HOTEL! Will be back in the beautiful town of Kurow in the near future and most definitely stopping back in at the 'Taki.

Dinner before. Excellent food with great service.Very enjoyable evening.

Great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. Food was delicious and there was lots of it. Best hot chips I've had in ages!

This is our local. I tried one of their new menu items. It was fine but I probably refer the 'old' meal I usually get. Best pub in Kurow. Friendly staff and always clean. :)

Great food, great service and even better that they are dog friendly. That's our biggest vote being regular campers to the area... needing somewhere we can eat with our small dogs at our feet and not having to leave them in the
car/s.

Great little local "pub" ....!!! Lovely and welcoming staff, spotless and cleanj, bit of humour to watch at the locals on their Friday night). "Epic" meals sizes, the Smoked Brisket just melts in your mouth and the
Schnitzel was huge!! Plus the staff even went the extra effort to find me some lemon wedges (yum!) for it. We literally inhaled the meal! Definitely the pick of the pubs!!

Considering they have the exact same menu as the Otamatata Pub. The food was nowhere near as good. Didn't even look or taste the same and was smaller. If both pubs have the same menu they should look and taste the same. Otamatata by far the best.

Lovely pub with lots of light. Food menu is good comfort food and meals are big and tasty. Friendly staff and was given a free drink without asking due to a small mix-up with meal service.
These guys go the extra mile so would highly recommend an excellent experience.

Great country pub with lots of character

Love this pub, great food and always feel welcome. Whenever we are near Kurow ( which is often as we camp up near Aviemore) we always make an excuse to stop in and have a meal. The best chicken burger! Highly recommend

Old school NZ. Very comfortable and quiet stay. Great sized meals. Friendly locals. The New managers there are great. Thanks for the nice stay. My family enjoyed that.

Brilliant pub down to Earth people. This establishment is willing to go further to satisfy it's patrons. Five stars??'?

Bar staff were lovely and friendly.
Place was empty at 1800 and that should of been a sign of things to come.
The food, well the food wasn't even what you could call average. We ordered from what can only be described as a sub par menu, which had nothing that wasn't meatcentric. Were then told that the kitchen wasn't ready and our meals would take an extra 10min.
When it arrived we ate some as we were hungry. The rest was left behind in disgust.
