Jennifer and Tizz were such a nice host.
We booked it for 2 nights. However, had to leave after 1 night due to bad weather which was highly contrasted by Jenn who offered us 1 night refund. Will definitely book it always whenever we go for trip this side.

We have stayed there for a night, Jennifer and Tiz are really friendly and great people also the bar is excellent me and my wife will definitely visit again .......thanks again Jennifer and Tiz

Probably the worst experience I ever had in my life. Please avoid this hotel.

To start with...
Hotel itself is old... really really old..
Owner doesn't seem want to spend any money on it.
One of the room even feel like a storage room.

Our room is full of dead insect, spider and ants.
Bathroom door damaged can't even close the door properly....

Room does not have any air condition or fans....
Bloody hot and full mosquitoes.

Owner.... Seems to swear to one of our friend and only seems to talk to our female friends only...

The man doesn't know how to talk to customers, literally screamed at us and swore so much. Canceled our booking last minute when we desperately needed a place late at night. Just because his wife miss understood or misheard the time of arrival. Worst worst experience ever.

The only available accommodation we could find last minute on Waitangi weekend. To be honest, we would never go for this type of accommodation if not for last minute everywhere else all booked up. First impressions of this place is that it's a rather old, beat up place with some kind of sleazy bar attached to it. Upon entering the premise, it wasn't ad bad as what we expect. The room, yes its slightly old but neat, clean and tidy. The host knowing that we have a toddler who will be sleeping on the sofa came bringing us more linens to cover the sofa and pillow for kids as well as extra blanket for my kiddo. Bed was comfortable on my side but not so on my husband's side which he said it's too soft for him and he is the one who will be doing all the driving the next day. For dinner we tried the food at the bar. Standard bar food. And there was live music. Singer was good and has a good voice luckily as our room is right next to the bar. Sound proofing of the room isn't that great given it's an old building. But we were too tired and the singing doesn't really bother us. Overall we had a good overnight stay.
