Second time dining at the Turangi Tavern. It was just as satisfying as the first.
Food 10/10. Staff & Service 10/10. Looking forward to a third visit... I could do with another serving of your sticky date pudding. 🍮

Amazing good experience. Ordered so many dishes and everything was perfect. Lamb shank was outstanding.

We have always had delicious food from this tavern. The steak was cooked to perfection; medium rare.
The buffalo wings came with 2 cheesy dipping sauces.
Service was fast considering how busy it was.
Worth visiting.

The food was great, exactly as advertised and the $10 pints were greatly appreciated. Thought I'd never, ever say this but...the cheese overload on the salmon pizza took us a bit by surprise; the extra cheese may have been better off on a non fish pizza but nevertheless, it was still yum. The corn fritter were a great appetiser, especially for $8!

Decent food and good service overall. Fun pub for just grabbing a drink with friends and getting a bite.

We have always enjoyed coming here. Traditional pub food at a reasonable price. The prices have jumped up big time add $10 to website prices. I had the pork belly, nice big serve but the skin wasn't crispy it was soft like jelly

Came recommend by our Bnb host. When we got there the place was packed. Staff were polite, friendly and flat out. We were warned there would be a long wait for food but it was well worth it. Open Steak sandwich and Bacon lovers burger were delicious. Kids pizza was tasty but had been left sitting a while before it was served so had gone cold. Not bad considering how busy it was.

We enjoy going to the tavern and generally the pub food is good value for money. Except tonight I had the Salmon Fillet and for $39 I had high expectations. Unfortunately I have to say that at the price of $39 I would not be having it again. It was over cooked, dry and flavourless. At that price you would expect fine dining

Lamb shanks were delicious! Pork belly was well cooked and heaps there. Chicken burger was devoured by Master 15 in like 5 mins, lol! Hubby's steak was a little over cooked for his liking but still very tender and delicious! Great meals & food presentation was impeccable. Would definitely eat here again.

Standard kiwi fare with a sports pub atmosphere. Everything was good - not groundbreaking or amazing but definitely tasty. Not a bad place for a drink and feed.

Sorry to say that the food I ordered is terrible to me, I would prefer buy some Vegs in the supermarket and boil at the hotel, would be much better than this.
Salmon is plain, that yellow sauce is pretty awful to me.
Ribs are still pretty hard, and failover is so so.
This meal is a waste to me, I had one pic of ribs and 2 bites of salmon with pepper and salt.
