Following a recomendation from a friend my wife & I drove there from Mangawhai for a Sunday outing. We arrived just after they had opened and there was no one in the restaurant. We were greeted by a friendly smile & a Bula. Drinks & food arrived promptly. I ordered the beer battered fish with chips & salad. My wife ordered the Asian Beef Salad. Fish was $23 & the salad. Both were huge portions and outstanding.
then resturant began to fill up. Highly recommend

We had an amazing meal here - chicken schnitzel, chips and salad - it was delicious- and very reasonably priced - and the staff were very friendly- would definitely recommend 🙂

Only ordered loaded wedges and mocha with both tasty. The manager super helpful and friendly.
The motel room served its purpose, bed and ensuite, while waiting out flooding to subside. Ensuite needs tidy up as mould in ceiling above shower, cystern needs replacing , whole room smelt musty. Served its purpose in a limited option situation.

Went here for dinner. Amazing place food was perfect generous serving sizes couldn't fault 1 thing the staff and owner are real nice would highly recommend it to anyone. We will always go here when we drive past for now on its that good.

We stopped here on our journey home. Never been before. Great menu selection including lots of GF options. Staff were awesome. Heaps of parking including for trucks/ trailers. Will definitely be coming back.

We used to live in the area a few years ago and frequently came here. The food was great although over time the food and service started to decline so we decided not to go back again.

However, happily I heard through the grape vine that it is under new ownership and decided to give it another try.

We are happy to report that it is back to serving fantastic delicious food and the service is great. Highly recommend.

Exceptional kai, decent price for the generous quantity and very delicious. 10/10, highly recommend and would come back for sure. Quick service and friendly staff. Great kids playroom, located on the main road with large carpark. We ordered 3 entrees, cheesy garlic bread, chicken wings and scallops and prawns. Mains were pork belly, Asian beef salad and the ribs. Awesome family run business.

Location and parking is great, right off the highway. Lots of parking available. If it is busy the service can be a bit slow but that is understandable, just be aware of ordering food quickly when you arrive. Overall really nice place, the food is great and the portions are huge!

Called in on a Friday night. Just your typical New Zealand country pub. Everyone was having a fun night.

We went for dinner last nite, the food was really good, pity the guy taking the orders wasn't more onto it. He ended up coming to the table 3 times to confirm the food order and twice to confirm the drink order. Maybe he should have had a pen and paper to write it down in the first place.

Our friends took us here for dinner. Loved it. Great food and prices are reasonable.
