Had a Margherita Pizza and the chicken bites over here and we were really surprised by it. The Margherita had sundried tomato and Pesto on it which added tons of flavour to it. The chicken was realy nice, tender & jucy - perfect fingerfood. Together with the lemon and the dips one of the best I've had!

My partner and I stopped in for a meal, absolutely yummy, like mum used to make, I had a merlot, pork belly with roast veges cauliflower carrots broccoli spud kumara and pumpkin large meals, partner had a jack Daniel's and chicken salad chips ....we had a few greyhounds bets also well be back large healthy meals small quantities pub, really lovely fire burning....

Glad we popped in on the way through, friendly staff and a great atmosphere, the locals seem friendly and a nice laid back vibe for a nice dinner and a drink

First time visitors. We live in Pegasus so thought we'd try it out. Pretty underwhelming to be honest. It's nice inside but it's just like a thousand other pubs in NZ. Plain and boring with your standard choice beers.
Kiwis love their craft beers it would be nice to see more choices.

Meal options great, have also had nibbles often met friends for raffles on Friday night. Enjoyable few hours with courtesy van if needed. Are very accommodating great team of people.

Great setting went for 1st time with Waimak football team. Looked after brilliantly with pizza waffles and chips. Definitely deserve more support...cmon guys

This is the second time we have visited the Tavern. The first time the meal was very nice so we went back again. This time we both ordered the "Pork Belly " and eagerly awaited a mouth watering dish. What we got was not pork belly and resembled two pork chops stacked on top of each other. There was an abundance of roast potatoes but probably too many and more gravy would have been nice too as the pork was very dry. Hopefully this is not the norm as staff are lovely.

Was a nice place,had a lovely bar meal. Staff friendly. Not many there so was very quiet.

Waited an hour and 15 minutes for our food, only for the steak to be raw. More worried and concerned about serving the rugby boys than the other customers. Not once was there a "sorry for the delay" or "was your food okay". If we hadn't of paid beforehand we would of left considering the wait time and only 2 other people getting meals before us. Hugely disappointed and won't be back
