Four of us went there for a special occasion - waitress was pleasant.
Food very over priced and unacceptable. Rib eye on menu looked like topside or rump and pork ribs almost inedible (fat and gristle).
We sat outside - kids were hooning round the tables on bikes.
A safe bet would be a bowl of chips!
Disappointing as good restaurants in the area are few and far between.

Very disappointed. Salmon salad made with half a tin of beetroot half a lettuce packet salmon and a boiled egg. Pretty much a supermarket meal. Staff... efficient waitress, rude man on the till.

Really disappointed with the time it took for our 6 year olds meal to come out. As though it had been forgotten, it's pretty standard for children's meals to arrive first, not so at the Village Inn. When it did arrive it was so hot it can be assumed it had been a rush job. When I said something at time of payment it was as though they couldn't care less. Other meals were a bit average

Great relaxing atmosphere. Very good sized, delicious meals. Lovely welcoming staff. Highly Recommend.

Never even actually got to eat here. Saturday night which is busy and I understand that completely. I asked how long the wait was and was told 45mins. I was completely fine with this but they refused point blank to take an order. I was only one person and was happy to wait as long as possible sitting at one of the multiple empty tables outside. Left a little miffed that I couldn't even order some food at 7pm. Pity.

There is nothing positive to say about our experience. Very poor quality food. Staff disinterested in customers. Very poor service. Did not check in to ask if everything okay. Only 1 serviette between 3.
Felt we were ignored. Not asked if we needed anything further after mains. Glad to pay up and leave

Went there for a 18 birthday dinner. The staff were friendly and made a big deal about the 18 year olds birthday witch was nice.
We ordered, garlic bread, chicken nibbles, chicken burger, and pork roast.
The garlic bread was ok . Chicken nibbles were ok. Roast was good. Chicken burger shouldn't really talk about it. The meat was dry, the rest of it wasn't very appealing. The service was lacking.

Great value for seniors. Excellent pork roast. Topped off with a lovely apple shortcake and icecream and cream on the side. One price.

Excellent pub grub. Garlic bread was crisp and very buttery with plenty of garlic. My chicken and mushroom pasta was divine. My friend's steak was ordered medium-rare and cooked to perfection. Very good wines by the glass, reasonably priced. Lovely staff too.

Always worth popping in here on a sunny day, I love their big grassy area out the front. Could spend a lot of time there! The Village Inn has a decent pub grub kind of menu and the staff are friendly and helpful. There's a sports bar in the same building if you want to sit at bar leaners and watch the game AND they sell crate bottles! Definitely worth checking out if you're ever in Geraldine.
