The place was humming. We had a really enjoyable meal and evening. Staff were awesome. Only comment would be that meals were very slow to arrive (but we were told this before we ordered). It was lovely to be able to catch up with the owner towards the end of the evening and thank in person for the great evening. I'd recommend The Plough for your next group dining experience.

One of my favorite restaurants in Rangiora!! booked table for Saturday night was very busy which we expected it didn't bother us at all, my friends all enjoyed there meals entrees and mains, well worth the wait, large, hot and filling value for money. Keep up the great work guys Thank you.

I had the lamb shanks😋😋😋 haven't had it since I was a kid. The service was on point lovely friendly and helpful staff. Atmosphere was very nice and chilled..with friendly locals..they also have an outdoor seating area which was really nice aswell. 😊

Popped in for food, having been here before, we knew how good the menu is. We weren't disappointed, the chowder was so decadently creamy, it felt almost guilty eating it. The baked chicken was beautifully prepared and the roast veg was perfectly cooked and so tasty.

Without a doubt, it was one of the best meals I've ever had. You definitely get your moneys worth, and I would challenge anyone to finish everything on the plate in one sitting. We had a table of 18, not one person had a clean plate and everyone loved their meals! Would happily go back and will be recommending others to go!

My absolute favourite pub, hands down.
Great food, for both quality and quantity, at reasonable prices. Staff are super friendly, good fun and great at what they do (including making fabulous cocktails!).
There's a great beer garden which has a playground for the kids and is also dog friendly.
I can't speak highly enough of The Plough! Definitely recommend!

Staff were amazing catering for severe multiple food allergies. Spot on with the meal served and no mistakes! So very pleased! Will definitely be back!

Only had dinner there food was good but took way to long to come out..(1hr) and the place wasn't half full.

We had a lovely evening, just a bit of feedback -chicken strips for a child's meal was very over cooked, dry and too hard and almost the same as the chicken in the burger. Quite a lot of salt on chips and I would probably recommend no salt in the kids chips. Can be added if the parent/child wants it. Love the touch of the vege sticks for the kids too.
We loved that we could bring a birthday cake and it was brought out with candles for us -for free! Not easy to come by these days so thank you! Great friendly service by the young waitress.

Excellent and friendly service, and the food was good and hearty as well. Great value meals. The kids enjoyed their colouring challenge for a free ice cream as well, not to mention the playground outside.

If there were some good craft beers available as well then this place would tick all the boxes.

Usually love coming here, but attended Thursday night for my sons birthday, yes it was busy we had a table of 9. On arrival no one greeted us, we were left to find our own table which we had booked. No one came to take a drink order, we had to grab a waitress just to order our dinner. Waited awhile for food then was brought entrees & mains all together plus they missed one meal. No one checked if the meals were ok, vegetables very over cooked. Kids had fun tho and they did sing happy birthday to my 8yr old.

What a treasure this place is. Popped in for dinner - best fish & chips ever, and the staff were lovely. Good menu and specials board. Next time I'm in the region I'll be looking to stay there as they have rooms too.

Don't get to come here often enough sadly. Has a great beer garden with play equipment to keep the kids happy. Food is always really good, and the employees welcoming and friendly.

Great service, meals didn't take too long to arrive. Steak was nicely cooked medium rare. My companions blt however had overcooked bacon almost to the point it could be called jerky. The chips were a bit too salty but definitely better than the last fish n chip shop I went to.

An amazing night with great family and friends. Waitress super friendly and attentive. The food was perfect and came out super quick. We had a table of 10 out for a 65th birthday. Great too as our son bumped into his classmates so he was entertained. All other North Canterbury pubs take some notes from Mike and the team.
