Ate here with the fam at 6pm on a Friday. Good honest food that came quickly (10 mins). Lamb shank, pizza, fish n chips and pasta were all tasty.

Love the food! Very tasty! Especially the kumara mash on the side of the lamb shank! My favourite! Pork belly was tender too! Yummy! Warm place to hangout during winter! ❤️

Just ate at the restaurant. Vibe was great but the menu on the door and online says that the Chicken Schnitzel Burger was $12.50 which is why we decided to go there - great deal.

When we got the bill we were charged $20.50 per burger... we asked about it and all we got was 'sorry, that's not right' when we left about 30 minutes later the menu with the 'incorrect' price was still on the door. Doesn't seem like there was any attempt to correct or remove it.

The chips were great. But the principle remains, especially when considering all the travellers that come through with weaker exchange rates trying to find a deal and end up having to fork out way more in some cases than 'just $16' (in some countries this could be almost 3 McDonal's meals)

Great place to grab a good value beer and meal after a day at the snow or to get out of the hussle of Queenstown. Relax by the fire, play darts or sit out on the balcony for a great view towards the Shotover river.

Unbelievable we paid $170 for a super noisy room - the room number 8. The noise not come from the people or vehicles. It comes from a system on the proof (maybe). It likes fan system. You can hear it nonstop all day (we thought it doesn't run at night but we're wrong). I think the owner know about it when they come to check or clean the room. They shouldn't use this room for customer. No one can sleep in this room. We have a sleepless night in Arrowtown. And the sound's not good for mental health. My husband had to go out of the room at 2am and I followed him at 3:30am to leave Arrowtown
Besides, there are some kind of another noise in this room. Such as the noise from heat pump (or air conditioner) - but you can turn it off and let the room cold down, the noise from mini fridge - you can't turn it off because they put milk inside, the noise from next room's TV.

Stayed one night in room 2 and was astounded and disgusted at the state of the carpet. It was so filthy looking i wouldn't walk on barefooted. Also fridge didnt work and ensuite had a bad odor. The owner needs to spend some of that money they are making on replacing the carpet. Shame cause the pub and food was awesome. They like making money but obviously dont like spending money.

Good vibe but for a busy place , more staff would be helpful but understand that's a problem for many atm. Nice meals including the pizza and big portions for the roast meal.

Absolutely appalling service. Staff were rude and did not interact in any way - didn't even say hello as we entered. Very rude and blunt to all costumers. Waited 20 minutes for 2 bowls of chips and it wasn't even busy. Understandable about being in rough times but if you have a sign outside saying be kind to the staff, maybe you should start being kind to your customers. Also didn't know it was legal to have a 12 year old behind the bar!?

Didn't stay at accommodation but the restaurant was great, we visit everytime we are in queenstown. Friendly enough staff- family run by the looks as kids served us well with manners and informed us of wait times etc. Food came out and was delish for what it was and our overseas guests were impressed. The previous time we went one of the staff took our child for a walk around restaurant in stroller so we could eat our meal . Thank you 😁

Seafood Chowder was exceptional , and the price is not expensive! Kids were happy with their meal. They have few choices for kids comes with drinks , chips and ice cream for $15! Great choice , our new favourite place , cool relax and cozy!

Cozy little pub to visit and warm up near the fireplace. Friendly service and the meals were surprisingly very delicious. Recommend anyone stopping by for a yummy pub meal while in beautiful Arrowtown!

Stayed here for one night in a standard room. No staff to check us in because of covid (not their fault, no hard feelings). The room was clean and warm although a little dated. Free tea and coffee plus mugs and a kettle which is always ideal. Good value for the location, plus they have sky in the rooms which meant we could watch the all blacks 🙂

Didn't stay at accommodation, just enjoyed an authentic old style pub meal for dinner. Mulled wine and a schnitzel that was so juicy and large I struggled to finish it. Generous pricing for portion size and a great range of drinks to compliment it.
Understaffed and could tell the workers/owner was stressed but just take in the environment and vibe of the place.

We only came for dinner on the last day of the Arrowtown Mātariki lights festival. The staff were a tad unprofessional (didn't take our order because to quote, "the chef is feeling overwhelmed", and told us to come back in 20 minutes even though one of us at the table had already ordered). However, the lamb which was really good so it was well worth the wait!

Beautiful location and perfectly central to Arrowtown. Staff were fantastic. However I must say this is an old establishment and the hotel rooms are to, the room I had was clean but was tired and showing its age.

If you come here, get the seafood chowder! It was delicious! Great atmosphere and friendly service.

This place is the pits.
Arrived to find all the appliances unplugged, fridge, TV and the electric blankets. One side of the electric blanket faulty.
Found food left in the fridge by the previous guest. The room didn't have any soap in the bathroom or shower, other than the used cake of soap on the shower floor. Only provided Shampoo. Water doesn't drain.
Stains and cobwebs on ceiling and in bathroom. Carpet hadn't been vacuumed.
The room didn't have a table to eat at, couldn't eat at the restaurant on-site due to it being fully booked out. Staff were rude and looked like the owners own school ages children were dishing out the meals. Understaffed during the busy school holidays???
Not worth $180 spent here, I've stayed at much cleaner and more comfortable backpackers.

Great family run business. Food amazing, service great. Thank you,we will be back. we loved seeing a family come together to keep things under control on a very busy day. We were also grateful for the free lemonade for wiping our table down. ??'?
