Had a great dining experience at The Hardware tonight, food was great and service was amazing. The front of house guy went above and beyond to make sure the kids were happy, giving cushions to get them sitting comfortably, a picture to colour in and even a chocolate fish to keep our youngest happy. He also made sure we were aware of the deals on so we could get the best value for money. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Christmas family lunch. Absolutely fantastic service from when we arrived until we left. Very friendly staff who were attentive, but not overwhelming. Food was fantastic - great choices and serving sizes were great too. No hesitation in recommending The Hardware Bar and Restaurant. 5 stars.

We had our Christmas celebration at the Hardware Bar & Cafe. Lovely light space where the table was set. The service was on point, attentive, helpful and informative. One guest was vegan and staff double checked to ensure there was no dairy in the dish chosen. The drinks menu was extensive, all choices were available. The dessert, chocolate bomb, was entertaining and delicious, a lovely finish to an enjoyable evening.

Went last night with a party of 20. Good menu to choose from .How the chef managed to get the meals out in good time plus more or less at the same time was amazing . The pork belly I ordered was beautifully presented more like fine dining than pub food . It was with out doubt the best pork belly l have ever eaten out. Would definitely go again.

Thrilled to discover this gem close to our recently purchased property. Warm, friendly service, delicious food. Awesome premises. We will definately be repeat, regular diners looking forward to enjoying the varied menu.

This was hands down, the best dining experience I've ever had, surpassing The Hippopotamus restaurant in Wellington and The Old Quarter (our usual special occasion favourites)!!!
We had walked in with average expectations, but we didn't want to drive out of the valley for a meal.
We called to book a table and we were fortunate that they were able to accomodate us on the spot.
The staff were friendly and welcoming!!! When we ordered drinks we also requested a glass of coke to arrive at the same time as our main, so often when we do this it's forgotten and we have to follow up, not this time ??'?
Entree arrived promptly and set us with excitement for dinner.
Myself and my husband ordered a beef Wellington special which was exquisite in presentation and taste!!
The chocolate bomb dessert followed and each spoonful was a delight!!

Amazing meals from high quality chefs, we are fortunate to have them in our Valley, but also the wait staff were so friendly. I can't fault this experience at all.

Although the place lacks vibe, fun and bustling energy.. the manager Kyles makes up for it.. from the moment you walk in she takes absolute care of you! She is amazing and her customer service is genuine! 5 stars for sure from the care she takes alone.. plus the food was pretty good!

Absolutely brilliant service. Delicious food, well presented, would Absolutely recommend to anyone who wants a great meal out. (The steak is divine). Friendly welcoming staff, nothing is too much trouble. If I could give 10 stars I would .

Amazing service and beautiful food. Our server was the sweetest friendliest lady ever and she made our dining experience even better. But that food was just beautiful. We loved all the meals we got and left happy . Will definitely go back as often as possible. Also the fire place makes it a cosy warm place to dine in. Thank you jolly pub and kitchen!
