The Greeting Staff put a Smile on my Day Upon Arrival...Where Te Korero was Heard... Tumeke Alright ...And that Familiar O'le Ambience of the Hillcrest Tavern was Present and Felt (Just missing the Big Garden bar that Once was) and that Tapped Brown Liquid Gold Enjoyed by All Living in the Now...Mauriora...TO THE HILLY...ILL BE BACK FOR JUST ONE MORE...hehe

We came to the Hilly for some lunch in a relaxed pub on a rainy day. The Hilly didn't disappoint. The staff were lovely, the atmosphere casual, the premises clean and the food homely pub food. We had the seafood platter and the platter....yum!!!!

Great place to dine in fabulous meals, great atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

I go with a group for the quiz night - we have dinner first - wow the food is good then we do the quiz - it is so much fun - lots of noise and everyone trying to catch the question and talk about the right answer with your team - without any other team hearing it
I don't drink and the spot prizes of beer are not for me but yes for my team
We had a three way tie for 3rd place this week

More is the pity that there are not more people trying their burgers. For $20 show me something better in town

Ive been drinking at the Hilly for 21 years now and this will always be my local. Started drinking in my first year of University, had my 21st beer here at the front. Made some life long friends and had heaps of good times here. A very warm welcome to the Easty locals (2022). Love the staff, love the people and obviously love the beer haha

This is my local and I've supported this venue along with its sister venue "eastside" for over 6 years now. Today I got discriminated against for having a mask exception by a staff member who is not a medial professional and should not be offering medial advise, whom was also wearing a mask with so much gaps around the edges a bee could fly into her mouth.

Why can other venues operate with zero rules in place while you guys are still pushing the fear?? There is nothing to be scared of..... (except maybe unruly mps)

Its time we forget about the "invisible boogie man" of the main stream media and get on with our lives.
