Has been done up really nicely and the staff were nice enough. We were a group of 14 and they handled it very well.
I had fettuccine with spicy prawns and bacon, not a speck of spice to be seen but still tasty.
The butter chicken, steak and lamb all got the thumbs up.
Kids had cheeseburgers and weren't overly impressed with their burnt buns and their dessert was a bit underwhelming.
Would definitely come back 😊

Food was well presented, tasted good and great value for money. Service was polite and prompt. Atmosphere was warm and homely even on the bleak day we visited. A really good dinner option.

Our local was holding a private function when we got there, so this was the nearest alternative. Built in 1945. Place had some history. They served an APA and the burgers were well priced and generous. No complaints.

First time eating here. Great service and friendly atmosphere. Those ribs were amazing and the lamb shanks were awesome. Great way to treat our Mum. Thanks and cheers.

This is certainly the place to dine while in Te Aroha, The food was tasty with a good servicing, and well priced. The suroundings were excellent as we're the Staff .

my first meal just blew me away, I had to get another. Had the tower burger.2nd night had scotch fillet, and scallops... best meals I've eaten out for 20 years. I would drive 3 hours just get a kai from here.

Lovely meals with excellently big portions. Price is great for what ya get. Bar is in the restaurant and pool table or pokies in the other rooms, while you wait. Staff are very friendly and smiles all around, lovely too be round. Had a awesome time, we LL be back here again.

Absolutely ??'? best kai we have had in years! I've never seen my husband eat mussels so fast! We have been here a few times and these meals are amazing every single time. Thank you Te Aroha Tavern 😊

Just had lunch at The Grand Tavern today, my partner had the Surf and Turf and I had the Curry of the day the day, I asked for Indian Spicy not Kiwi Spicy...OMG absolutely delicious.. COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF..
