We stopped in for lunch on Monday on arriving in Hawkes Bay for a brief holiday.
The staff were very helpful in sorting out food that would meet my dietary requirements offering me gluten free options for gravy and cheese sauce to go with a large and delicious portion of roast beef with vegetables.
I can definitely recommend them as a lovely place to eat especially if you have dietary needs.

Went with a group and all enjoyed very much. Meal delicious. I had fish and chips. I do enjoy good fish and this was super. White moist and very tasty. Ch ips were done just right and nice side salad.
Serve good we didn't have to wait long which is a good plus..

The meals were superb ??'? well worth going. Staff are friendly and great service. Dinner time is better than lunch depending on the atmosphere

We loved this cute little pub. If you are on the road and looking for a meal you can't go past it. Indoor and outdoor seating and choice of pub menu or bar menu. Super friendly staff and quick service from the kitchen. We had the ham and pineapple pizza - delicious

This is the 2nd time we have eaten here. The food is excellent and plenty of it. My only constructive comment would be to request salad dressing on the side, my Dressing was very spicy, probably chilli, which I don't normally eat. They happily put leftovers in a take home container. We had Sharese as our waitress and she was just excellent.

Great Christmas luncheon for our group. Amazing staff and food. Portions were huge and everyone enjoyed their meal.

Hi there..I must say that the ribs menu sauce has changed and are rather a yucky hot dry sauce and spicy mix ..if possible can you bring back the sweet thick runny sauce mix that made me fall in love with them.. I too will return from Sharnis should this happen ..Please..Thanks and Good Luck..

At the bar I had to ask the bar lady to change the glass of beer that she poured for me as she handed it to me with her fingers on the rim of the glass. Obvious it should be handled from the bottom of the glass. The outside area had rubbish all on the ground. I ask for it to be cleaned, they then decided to stop serving me. Due to covid and everything else I believe that hygiene is important. If that upset them to stop serving me, look at yourselves. Be Clean The Duke ??

Huge meals. Friendly staff. Reasonably priced. Great menu.

Cozy and nice place. Good to watch all the sports games. Platters are highly recommended with drinks on game nights.

First time here and it won't be our last. Staff are welcoming and warm, as is the space. Food is so filling and quality wise, better than others we go to. Highly recommended.

This restaurant was such value for money. The meals were massive and so delicious. This would have to be my new favorite restaurant in Napier and we can't wait to go back there again.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. They had lots of people in the restaurant with Christmas functions and they still managed to get our main meals with in 15 mins.

We were more than happy with our meals and the overall experience.
