We love the Co-op, however at this booking (11.30am for lunch), it took more than half an hour for our orders to be taken, and only then because we asked to order. It then took another 50 minutes for the first of our meals to start coming out, so after 1pm by the time we were all eating. Far too long to wait, especially with young children in our group!

Quick, efficient service by friendly staff. Food was well presented, tasted great, with generous portions. It's pleasantly delightful, much better than my last visit late 2022.

Visited on a Wednesday night, the special burger and fries for $15 is a really neat idea. Two of us ordered the Southern Chicken burger and it did not disappoint.
Entrees we ordered were fries, squid and boneless chicken pieces, Korean flavour. The chicken pieces are great and were loved by most of our party.
Great service and welcoming staff. They also were helpful to our various requests.

The food and general vibe is always low key and easy going. Kids enjoy it here, It's what keeps us coming back. The service though is generally not great and sub par. You wait forever for waitstaff to serve you. Specially once you have your food, getting drinks / dessert after the main course is served is almost impossible. We generally have to walk up to the bar to try to find someone.
An important note. It seems that the Sunday afternoon menu is limited. Or it was when we went. We were only able to order a few pub style menu items. We were not told of this at the time we reserved our table. We took guests, and we were very disappointed

Came to the co-op for a nice family outing, they took 10mins to order our drink which is normal for a busy restaurant. By then our table of 6 all ordered with our drinks and food, after 15 minutes our drinks come out which is a bit long since they were all on tap, but again it was busy so that's ok. Then all of the food comes out except for my pizza, after another 10 minutes we ask and say that they will go and speed things up a bit a.k.a they forgot about it, 15 minutes later the pizza comes out burning hot which is better than cold. But in the end they ended up giving me it for free. The pizza was nice though and the staff were kind, we sat on a round table in the corner and the problem is that every time someone opened the door the wind blew strait through and was a bit cold. We also ordered steak which we asked for medium rare, they all came out well done. But overall still a nice local place to go.

This was our first visit. Four people all had different meals which were enjoyed by all. Waitressing service was excellent considering the big crowd that was in. All had drinks that suited them. One couple was staying the night whilst on their way north in the morning. It was the other couples 55 wedding anniversary. We will be back!

Food was definitely improved - taste, display and portion. Enjoyed our night with live DJ playing. Good atmosphere. WOAP burger was never recommended./daily special was never been offered - Service was not what I would expected, however, giving the current tight labour market, we understand getting the right staffs or training is very difficult.

Easy reservation booking. Awesome live music but maybe could start and go later. Food came out quickly and was delicious. Hoping they maintain later hours as have been closing early so haven't chosen Coop when wanting to have a few drinks after dinner.

Solid effort from the team at Co-Op all round. I was in there with two other friends tonight and I ordered the BE-EF Burger (with an egg) which came with crinkle cut fries. We ordered the boneless fried chicken with Korean BBQ sauce.

1. The burger was bloody delicious, with a tasty patty that was juicy AF! My go-to of having a fried egg was a bonus for me. The milk buns were soft, yet managed the moisture long enough for me to get through most of the burger before disintegrating. This is common, so didn't bother me. Yeah pretty stoked with this bad boy!!
Crinkle cut fries are the best fries ever (FIGHT ME IF YOU DISAGREE) and these were no exception.

2. The Boneless chicken had crunch, moisture in the meat and strength in the sauce. AH-MAZ-ZING!

Service was friendly and good didn't take too long either.

Luckily there was a special on which brought the burger meal to $15 which was about right for me, $20+ would have been a bit steep. This burger meal was great, but with higher quality of ingredients it would be worthy of that $20+ mark. This is why I have it a 4/5, but this place is definitely worth a visit, especially with TG1 now open it's a breeze getting into Whitby.

Great experience. Took our 8 yr old grandson for dinner. Kids menu combo was awesome. Great value for money. Tasty and large serving including dessert and drink all for $15.
Our meals were very nice as well. Staff were friendly and obliging.

Dinner tonight was absolutely amazing ! We had an entertainment voucher and figured we would have a nice evening at one of our favourite locals. The food was exceptional ! The chef was debuting his new menu tonight and we happened to be the first people to try it ! We ordered our dishes and then got a bit of fomo at the sound of the curry of the day and hearing this, the chef brought us a bowl to try, on the house ! So so lovely ! We were blown away at how delicious the food was and even when full, we pushed through to finish as it was that good ! I would highly recommend trying the new menu! The food and the staff made our night ! We will certainly be back 😊😊😊
