Spacious room, shared bathroom is modern and clean, common area is super comfy, WiFi is a bit weak, but overall highly recommended, will definitely stay here again when we're back.

The Brown Pub took me and my mate in after we crashed off the side of Mt Olympus. The staff were friendly, kept us in good spirits, and had us fed. The accommodation was well priced, and well maintained. Cheers to TBP

I thought this place was great value for money and in a great location. We were here in the depths of winter and our room was cozy warm - no heating required- with retrofitted double glazing that helped block out car/ noise from the street. Our room was of very modest size but had a large comfortable bed with nice clean cotton sheets. It was certainly a no frills experience but had a well equipped and clean kitchenette for the guests to use as well as a lounge ( small and overstuffed) and an outside veranda. Bathrooms were really clean ( shared). Overall would recommend and stay here again.

Had wonderful lunch here with my wife. I had the Ribeye Steak and she had the Chicken Burger. Both meals were excellent and the staff very friendly and welcoming. The only slight downside was VERY loud American patron that the staff (and ourselves) suffered with remarkable calm and professionalism. Well done Brown Pub. A very pleasant lunchtime experience.

Visited midday weekday when it was quiet and whilst exploring. The service was poorly and my impressions of the pub was that it is understaffed, unfriendly and they were unknowledgable. The drink selection was poorly, with no cocktail menu visible, prices standard and a mundane and rather bland decor and atmosphere. Better pick their heels up being surrounded by character pubs which are always bustling and have great drinks!

My family Stopped in for a burger and beer after the hot pools 100% satisfied with the service and tasty burgers will be back for sure !

Came for lunch on waitangi day to celebrate mother in law's birthday. The food was absolutely delicious. The chicken schnitzel was juicy and huge. All meals were great.

Great place to stay! Hotel is nicely done up with modern decor and new bathrooms (very clean). Comfy beds and plenty of space.

Only a small kitchenette, but the pub does takeaway which is nice to enjoy on the upstairs balcony.

Really great experience. The duty manager went over and above to cater our needs. Great tasting food. Large portions especially the Schnitzels.

Meals were very filling with a good choice for carnivores. Good range of drinks available with both wine and beer and non alcoholic. Beer garden available on those warm summer days.

The only pub open due to the recent public holiday - resulting in the vibes being high for a Monday and it made our stay at the Brown Pub even more enjoyable. The staff were friendly, the beers were cold and a good nights sleep was had.

My partner and I came in for dinner and our food was very disappointing, I had a burger and it's so greasy I couldn't eat it most of it. My plate was covered in it and the pattie wasn't cooked enough, some people are into medium rare looking ones but I feel like it was to much on the rare side. My partner had a steak and it came out black lol it wasn't cooked to how he wanted it and no flavour to it. He had a couple mouthfuls and that was that. The staff were lovely though.

Really nice rooms and decor, very clean and tidy for the price and a great location. I was however really disappointed that when I enquired about food (approx 8.37 pm) I was told sorry, the kitchen is closed. Found this very early for a Saturday night and strange, and unfortunately had to leave the premises and go across the road to another pub to buy food for a very intoxicated friend we were looking after in our room. Usually places still have some kind of food avaliable if they are still serving alcohol, a little careless in my opinion.

Enjoyed a great meal with family. Staff were friendly & efficient. Food was delicious! Atmosphere was lovely. Even better that the kids meals were free with a paying adult! Definitely will be back!

What a beautiful place to stay. The decor is awesome, and the entire place is so clean. Staff are extremely friendly and went out of their way to help with anything.
We had a large group of women staying, and it worked fabulously for us all being so central.
