Mixed bag of experiences. Facilities excellent, bar staff great Resturant was not a good experience in fact it was pathetic.
Went in to dining area and sat down at a table with my wife and daughter. Next minute a young girl came up to us and said you ca,nt sit there we are fully booked out. There was no reserve sign on table. You have to sit in bar area to eat, Ok then we then proceeded to order off menu. No could not do that,Could only order buffet. Stuff it I said . Made to feel unconfortable then found out menu not current for that night.Read google reviews about this club and all the negative reviews mentioned the resturant i can see why.Told the duty manager i had a bad experience before i left.If you want a drink the club is a good place to go, With the Resturant be warned.Ended up buying fish and chips from a takeaway shop which was great.

Awesome place to come to. Friendly staff. Only gripe is the price of the food in the restaurant has gone up which makes it in line with other good restaurants around Taupo. The price should be cheaper for members. Food is still very good.

I had a lovely experience on Friday night although it didn't start that way. I ordered the falafel special (I'm not vegetarian, I just wanted something different), my husband had the buffet. Time passed , my husband had finished his meal. Still no dinner for me. I flagged down the waitress and asked. She went off to check. Another 10 mins, flagged down another waitress and she went off to check. Food finally arrived. And it was delicious. I can't praise it highly enough and would order it again in a heart beat. But this delay made me wonder if I should go all Karen and ask for the meal to be comped. It was the cliche situation to do it. But not really me. Turns out I didn't need to. When we paid the bill it was not there. Well done Cossie Club. Not every restaurant would do that .

My sister took us here for dinner, was such a lovely dining experience. Lots of options from the buffet which is where my stomach took me and I was not complaining definitely will be back.

Went to dinner with family. Very clean, prompt service, friendly & helpful staff. Not enough mobility parks, had to park out on street. The meal certainly made up for lack of parking.

We hired their upstairs Events Room for mostly older guests. Function to start at 12pm, couldn't eat until 1:30ish pm. 2 different flavored Puddings and 2 Fruit Salads, got 2 Fruit Salads 2 bowls of Ambrosia. Suppose to have 2 servers and 2 bar tenders, got 1 each. Not happy at all. Stress was high the whole day.

I found it was beyond my expectations.Angie at reception was a friendly polite ambassador.Went with a friend for dinner which was excellent and it was busy the whole place was buzzing.we went outside.because we like fresh air.

Last night was greeted at the entrance by a lovely lady Angie, but that is where the great night stopped. The Restaurant experience was very poor 😕 starting with the wait service was no hello and no smile. Telling her we wanted the smorgasbord and she said as we were walking here is your menus, then the food was of low standard and the excuss was no chefs & under staff not going again!!!

After booking the day before our party of eight arrived to find our booking had not been registered so we had to be squeezed in. We waited over an hour to be told some of our mains weren't available and over two hours for our garlic bread and shrimp cocktails. And when our mains finally turned up our 10 year olds were too tired to eat. Our waitress who needed our one menu to copy our requests down because she is dyslexic and not very happy or helpful. After eating we asked our waitress for a doggy bag for the kids meals and she said I hope you are not going to leave without paying your bill. That just added insult to injury. As club members we expect far better service than we got. The food was lovely though.

Nice place, kai was cooked perfectly though the pudding in my opinion was a little meh, no ice cream lol. Still a very delicious kai. If you have little ones who are on the picky side and you can see they're not going to eat from the buffet I recommend asking for the kids menu meals

Me and a few friends visited the cosmopolitan club on a Sunday afternoon enjoying a few beers, we decided to get a takeaway seafood basket and the lovely chef Jason mentioned he has a home kill steak that he had marinated with honey soy and garlic and asked if we would like to try it free of charge as it was from his home, along with the seafood basket we got to enjoy a beautiful piece of steak which I highly recommend it should be put on the menu, I would be back for that steak! Lovely service and a great atmosphere at the Taupo 'Cossy' club 😀 😎

Me and partner enjoyed our meal there, although we could only have carvery and much of the food was cold, we were okay with that and the service from the new girl on her first night was excellent. Real big shame about the unfriendly lady on the front door however.

18 of us in a group went to dinner. Happy to find a big table so all of us could be seated together. Excellent thanks!

A lovely way to spend an afternoon when it wasn't so busy with no waiting lines for food and drinks. Spare ribs were so good

Enjoyed a meal with friends tonight. Amazingly the staff catered for a large conference as well as members and guests. We selected the carvery as it was available instantly. Great selection of sides with the ham and the choc pudding reminded my friend of her Mum's home cooking. Well done Taupo ??'?

I've been to both the restaurant and the bar. Recently we had the buffet and it was very flavourful. Staff lovely. Prices are reasonable.

We were transported to and from our accommodation by George the driver of the courtesy van tonight ...very special time for my wife and I ...it was our 41st wedding anniversary...it was kept quiet... and we spent it at the cossy club...a wonderful meal and great staff added to the atmosphere. ..my wife and I had an awesome time!.. highly recommended as a place that has value plus and a culture of being kind to out of towers. ..many thanks to all who work there. .cheers Mike and Dot

Visiting Taupo and decided to come here for dinner in the restaurant. Ordered Pork Belly with Mash. The presentation was nice. I like my Pork Belly served with a crusty skin. I was disappointed that the skin was soft and topped with too much sauce that was too tangy. Friendly service.
Returned for the Friday entertainment in the main bar. I've seen 'Emerald Brothers' perform at my club in Wellington in the past. Surprisingly their attire was too casual, not what I've seen at previous performances. Also for the first 2 hours I wasn't impressed with their duet singing and guitar playing although the dancers enjoyed it. However I felt they did finally blend together nicely. Left about 10.30pm. Great atmosphere.

One of the biggest and an amazing club in Taupo. Located within the Taupo city center and 3 minutes walk from Taupo lake. It is a great place for big groups and hangout and watch sports games together. The food is absolutely delicious and if you are going as a group it is such a wonderful place to be.
The club is huge and have 5 to 6 tv to enjoy what you like the most. A must visit place for a group activities and enjoy. They also have live bands and music on specific days of the month.
