The pints at the R.S.A were six bucks, that's insane. I sank two pints and marvelled at the wildly affordable menu.
The barman came across as what at first seemed to be unreasonably friendly. But after a few minutes I realised he was just one of those guys that just talk at who ever is there. More of a one way street than a conversation. Like someone hitting a tennis ball against the wall by themselves and calling it a game of tennis.
Anyway, back to the bar. The place had an intriguing mild mezzanine thing going on and the lower section festooned with dis proportionately sized pool tables. The woodpaneled walls were adorned with war memorabilia and militaristic nic-nacs. Say "militaristic nic-nacs" ten times fast...
....okay that's actually not that hard. Probably because these beers are only 4%.
They closed at 9.30pm and that was the end of the pub crawl

Love the atmosphere and was very welcoming very good staff recommend if visit this lovely town.

A bit disappointed with the level of service.
Waited almost an hour and a half for our food. Then when the food arrived was not definitely value for money. We were still hungry and stopped in at a Takeaway.
Place seems satisfactory, toilet facilities nice and clean.

Different rules for different people. Was told we had to wear a mask in there. a lot of other people weren't wearing a mask and the lady who told me I had to wear a mask wasn't even wearing her mask properly??? Double standards. Plenty of other places to spend your money with better attitudes from workers.

What an absolutely delightful surprise this was. Five of us went to the RSA for a meal and it was fantastic. We felt very welcome from the moment we entered. The service was fantastic without being over the top. The menu options were what we expected, but the food they served us was perfect! We were all pleasantly surprised with how fantastic the meals were.
Three of our group went out of their way to return for a meal two days later. Highly recommended!

Loved my meal. Our family had a great night. The restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. There were alot on our table so we kept them busy. Even the kitchen staff helped me even though they were frantic. Excellent customer service.

The men at the bar were a bit stuffy, suggestion send them to customer service training including the manager if that's whom he was. They are your first point of contact and are not user friendly.

The lady was lovely thank goodness.

Great place.. Great knowledge and companionship is priceless...
Oh and there is food and drink to buy from the great as staff
