I haven't bn to the Tavern for 30 yrs, and not only was it held up by a guy with a gun ten mins before we got there it was awesome. The staff were brilliant and there dog was the best. My daughter and I went in met guys from Te Aroha had a chat then got our drinks and went out in the garden bar. Beautiful place to be, we laughed so much and had fun. As it got cooler we went inside and chatted to more locals. Great place to have a drink and meet awesome people, definitely going back. Nice clean Tavern and plenty of parking. Go check it out

Great local pub. Shows a bit of history inside and out which is pretty cool. Views from the inside is superb. Great service from the bartender. She's very friendly and professional. Cozy and inviting atmosphere. Haven't tried the food, maybe will do at some point. Heaps of parking. Parking lot could do a little touch up, I would say.
