Great place for bar snacks with friends, however lack of mobility access to the gaming room & TAB area due to the amount of steps.

Would be great if they added a ramp up to the smoking area instead of 2 steps so those with mobility issues who can't get parks on queen street have another way to get in without walking around the entire building.

We ordered chips and they were disgusting like they had been double dipped and very oily. I saw others come out not long after ours and looked beautifully cooked. Apart from that it was ok

Locals were lovely & friendly...however venue manager refused service when I was accused of being 'racist' by a patron of the gaming lounge. I had asked this person to please stop bashing his machine, only to cop a mouthful of abuse in return. This was reported to staff at the time, & corroborated by other patrons, however the person who verbally accosted me afterwards, appearing drunk & obnoxious, turned out to be the venue manager.
Not a great way to treat paying customers to your otherwise beautiful city Nelson!
Actually sitting here in tears writing this at the unfair way I've been treated. Check your bloody camera footage!

A great place to have a meal and socialize unfortunately u can't buy jugs of beer anymore which is disappointing

I'm a pub/beer person and called in today; wished I hadn't..'normal' beer only on sale..more like an extended TAB than a pub...want a decent ale and atmosphere go somewhere else. Hot chips were OK though hence 2 star instead of 1

Staff are amazing big ups to them! Inviting locals and lovely atmosphere.. go here regularly! Karaoke thur&fri, live music on sat. Food is great and free pool tables is a bonus. Love all the staff at The Star of Richmond
