Food was good. Service? Not so much. The "hostess/waitress" couldn't have been less interested. Anytime she could she was behind a screen on her phone. The couple who came in after us waited a considerable time to be
seated because she was on her phone. The other staff didn't seem to know what they were doing, wandering aimlessly around. To catch the attention of the staff another diner had to leave her meal to go to staff because you simply couldn't get their attention. Not impressed.

Great value meals, staff really friendly & helpful. Very relaxed atmosphere.

Fantastic service. The inside has been having a facelift which means there is plenty of room for trolleys to navigate around the store. Clear signage and some rather special bottles for sale. Japanese whiskey, jack Daniels special additions and a great selection of wines, beers and spirits.

The staff are super friendly and easy to talk to, bar and restaurant food is good. On the bar side there is a good range of food and the daily specials. On the restaurant side, the menu hasn't really changed much, but good selection off food

First time in invercargill for a while and found this restaurant. Food was amazing with great variety and good size meal with very reasonable prices.Staff we very welcoming and checked on us often.They had two trainees on who did a good job and will serve them well in the future. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Great night out. We had a group of 32 and food all came out within 5 minutes across the whole group which was amazing!

Food was good but Jesus the young waitress was so rude and made us feel like we were a burdon the whole time. She obviously doesn't want to be there and it's putting people off the establishment.

Ordered chicken burger and asked for no onion or tomato (whole/sliced tomatoes gives me a guts ache). It came with tomato in it. When I mentioned it to the server, she left to check the docket (like they didn't believe me that I asked for no tomato). The same burger was returned with most of the tomato taken out and it tasted heavily of condensed milk and bitter avocado. Couldn't finish it. Not happy.

Service can't be faulted but the chicken salad needs some serious attending too. Every salad ordered in our group was unsatisfactory, wouldn't recommend it. All others meals were great.

A Monday night and what a welcoming place The menu was very extensive .4!of us had huge well presented and tasty meals Deserts equally good would definitely recommend this Tavern . Compliments to the chef and staff

I enjoyed my meal didnt take long to deliver to the table .was nice and warm with a friendly atmosphere. I didn't give 5 stars because I didn't notice one young women on her phone browsing Facebook while walking to the kitchen. Maybe less phone time for the staff on the floor while working
