Amazing Liv picked us up at the NZMCA camp and took us to the club. What a lovely atmosphere there. Nice people. Nice personal welcome from the President no less. Liv took us to Pizza Hit to pick up dinner and delivered us safely back to our camp. We judge Hawera on Liv and FIVE STARS all round. Country hospitality we don't see in the city. Thanks so much.

Good food at a good price will call again

Reminds me of 40 years a go when my parents used to drag me to a similar club for a family dinner ... Now I'm taking my kids there lol ... Great food and service .. massive meals and cheap drinks

Staff are lovely and friendly
Food wasn't fantastic my steak wasn't medium rare it was still mooing, my Sons fettuccine was lacking flavour but my Mum enjoyed her fish and chips. The salad did not look apealing in the salad bar so didn't have any which I am very pleased about because I later witnessed one of the male bar staff member's putting his hand in the salad and eating some of it.
It's such a shame because I remember the Hawera club from many year's ago when in the old building and the restaurant was amazing.

The staff are great, everything is great, reason for 3 star is paid $25 for snapper and fries. Well have a look at photo for portion size.
