The couple that run the hotel are friendly, hardworking, adaptable and well liked by the locals and beyond. The wontons are a must have.

Nice old pub after day out and go different pubs on way home as not been there before nice staff

Visiting on a caravan trip and out walking with our dog and decided to pop in for a cold drink on a hot afternoon. Very dog friendly (fresh bowl of cold water was whisked out to the dog first!). Kevin behind the bar provides great customer service and some of the local's provide lots of entertaining banter. Very old style country pub and the women's toilet could almost be called 'retro' as the fittings and style are that old, but you know what - the women's bathroom was super clean! Great photo op across the road with the awesome mural on the wall!

Good little bar, attentive staff and good selection of beverages. Reasonanly priced food menu too.

This is a review of their accomodation not the bar. It is incredibly basic - the room contained 2 beds, 4 bare bulbs, and a sink. No kettle, cups, toilet etc. The air conditioning was via the window that does not close completely. Novel decorating ideas here too - a shower curtain over the window and bar coasters to cover damage to walls where light fittings have been replaced. I could not sleep facing the wall because of the smell - I think it was damp/mould. The bathroom/toilet facilities were truly awful. I have no idea when they were last cleaned or maintained. Beds had clean sheets on them but that was the high point! The tea making facilities down stairs were pretty gross too. No clean teaspoons, no milk. I'll let the photos say the rest.

Very dated, needs a revamp, the bathrooms in particular but the proprietors are lovely.

Well 2 stars reason dinner of fish n chips bit of a let down.
Packet fish so to speak and some chips for $18 bit much

But country pub atmosphere fantastic friendly staff friendly locals..

It was a last minute decision to book rooms here. Probably wouldn't go again as the building looks very old and rooms extremely basic. Staff however were nice and although they had no vegetarian options in the bar, staff were accommodating and allowed me to bring in my own food.
