I Have known Sonny and his lovely lady for some 5/6 years. Came here years ago to visit my son. He along with his partner gave my son a job. Great people great sense of loyalty. I cannot and will not fault them. Bar staff are great food is wonderful. Only problem with the place is a simple one. I didn't back enough winners at the TAB. But that's more my fault than theirs

Every time we come here, with family or friends, the quality of service from the ladies behind the bar, are so amazing! They are always ready to help and assist, always super warm and friendly and they are just good at what they do! This is why I will always come to Sandbar because the quality of service is by far the best! Sandbar and their staff are awesome!

A group of us went out to catch up with some friends. Nice pulled beef sandwich and Calamari as starters. Busy bar with regulars and visitors. A big table for a birthday group. Mix of a Sports bar with TAB and a regular pub. Outside area at the back staff were friendly and efficient. Been there a few times. Happy to recommend!

Went for dinner on a Monday, took advantage of the 2 for 1 mains special , was a first visit for dinner, service was great with no wait. Drinks and food ordered and both came in good time and looked very appetizing, garlic bread was enjoyable, pork belly ordered by my dinner partner looked good and I was told tasted as good as it looked, I ordered the braised beef, which arrived looking good and tasted even better. The beef was impeccably cooked and thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely recommend.
Prices are very reasonable and I will definitely be visiting again.
Every day has a different meal special and bar has a good range of snacks and pizza, which I've tried previous and was good enough to make me come back for dinner, and available outside of dinner hours. Highly recommend for an enjoyable meal in a good atmosphere.

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Well priced. Nice outdoor area for smoking and had heaters. Great selection of food and drinks. Food came out in good time. Quiz night was on supporting a good cause. Overall really good night and would recommend Sandbar to those visiting Wellington area.

I honestly expect this food from expensive restaurants in the city.
I can't actually remember the last time I payed for food and was satisfied afterwards... Until this pub.
Seeing as it's also dog friendly, i can see my self as a regular now. Definitely going to slowly drag everyone I know to try it out

Nice enough. The food was ok, not as good as it used to be. The gambling side of things seems to have taken over a bit here.

Just had the Monday night special, 2 mains for the price of one.
Had the marinated sirloin and braised beef. Both meals were top notch, zero complaints for anything. Service was fast, food came out at the same time with a short wait, even though it was busy (we managed to get the only non reserved table in the place, ON A MONDAY) which really speaks for itself. Wish I lived closer to be a regular. Will be back!

Had lunch with my better-half after an appointment nearby, we had the marinated beef sirloin and steamed salmon.
The beef was well-seasoned and I liked the grilled cauli flower.
The sauce that topped the salmon was a tad sweet but it does blend well with the capsicum and onions that came with the salmon.
The place's ambience is pleasant and peaceful. Almost beachfront bar-like feel. Definitely a good place to stop by.

I am bit hesitant with sports bar/pub meals because it's usually quite standard and overpriced, and I usually am not a fan of Italian based food (I prefer Authentic Asian) BUT I was blown away by the standard of the food here. Everything tasted so good!

Everything from Entree to dessert and coffees were amazing!
