A classic old pub where not much has changed. Good place for a beer before getting on the ferry.

Just a straight forward, pub with food and great service, with an awesome variety of beers.

Absolutely shocking. Don't waste your time here.
My family & I, 9 of us all up, arrived last evening to find a lone woman working. It seemed like they ran the liquor store and restaurant as a joined facility.
She took our orders as we proceeded to wait outside in front of the restaurant in the cool air.
I couldn't help but notice the same woman, after a few minutes, hurriedly cross the carpark and then leave in a car which I thought was strange.
After a long wait outside where we wondered how long our order would take, we noticed a black van later pull up and a male run across the carpark into the adjoining liquor store to the this bar/ restaurant. He seemed to be carrying some salad mix in a plastic bag.
My nephews noticed him slide into the kitchen through the back and hurriedly placing buns into the oven. We put two and two together and confronted him about our orders. He actually asked us what our orders were again, and started stuttering and admitted that our orders hadn't even been started!
What a total waste of time on a most unprofessional business. Save your time and money also and avoid this useless, disrespectful place. We'd actually made a booking for this, so can only imagine the lack of effort they make on walk ins. Pathetic.

ABSOLUTELY UNIMPRESSED!!! Toilet DID NOT have any toilet rolls...(I was given a few tissues from a tissue box over the bar servery..!)Toilet area shockingly disheveled and unclean.
Very Poor Poor service by an Asian woman who obviously had hearing difficulties, and disappointing p.r skills. I had to repeat myself SEVERAL times and she appeared vague in understanding the simplest enquiry of the Menu, which on offer, and advertised on the Menu Board!
Very frustrating, and time consuming.

I was given High recommendations about this Tavern prior, however, I came away totally gutted. I would NOT recommend anyone to even consider going there.

Luvly burgers and excellent coffee...they are open till late and sell milk and a few essentials(open later than countdown). Good food and excellent service (ps. Try the kumara chips😋
