Every time I have come into here, I have enjoyed myself. The staff always seems nice and friendly and the beer selection is very good. But this time was the first time I've actually eaten here, and once again, the food was very good, and the staff seemed really friendly and welcoming.

Well priced clean rooms. Fantastic restaurant and very good service. Well worth spending a night or two when passing through Greymouth.

Noisy in room, traffic, guest in next room, the chiller equipment across the driveway. Room hot no fan, no air con, windows only open a wee bit and let in more sound than air flow. Wall vibrates when trucks go by, you can feel it through your back when sitting up in bed.

Went for a funeral aftermatch function. Good service, food. Atmosphere good. Lots of space.

Appalling service! Visited with a large family group, ordered two meals at 5.30pm, 6pm no meals, rest of family who ordered later received their meals, 6.30pm, queried where our food was, told it would be there shortly, 7pm still no food, was told we are busy in main restaurant, asked if bar patrons are less important! no response, then told we are short staffed, this made no sense when others who ordered later were served first! Finally got food at 7.05pm, unacceptable to wait 95 minutes for a bar meal! Had to take half as takeaway. Have been a regular for many years, will NOT be back!

Great location with friendly staff. Good value for money and good onsite bar and restaurant. Not sure what more you could want. Will definitely be my regular for future visits.

If you're looking for a pub in Greymouth where the locals go, Recreation Hotel is the place. I only went to the pub, not restaurant or stayed at the hotel. It was a bustling Saturday night, but found a table drank some beer, ate some nachos, it was good! There's sports on TV and a pool table. Staff were friendly enough (they were pretty busy!) And I loved the fire place too.

The price doesn't reflect the quality of the room it was over priced for what we got, but the bed was great along with the shower plenty of pressure as well drop your price to $90 per night team and you'll be into a winner currently at $115 it's not worth it a very basic room have a super awesome day hopefully the price will change which will increase your business.

My and my daughters meal was good. But my husband's blue cod was nowhere near usual excellent standard. Really disappointing as until this time had always had excellent consistent meals.

Rooms are satisfactory and good value for the price. Rooms are always kept tidy and clean with daily servicing. Room didn't have a kitchenette but that's because there is a restaurant. The restaurant is also nice. Room could do with air conditioning since its quite humid in Greymouth. Otherwise, a pleasant place to stay.
