We were in Taupō for the weekend and this seems to be THE place to go. Was always busy with a good energy but we easily managed to find a table both times. Food was delightful (we had fish and chips) and portions large. Was great to watch the sun go down and to watch sport.

Delicious food, coffee roasted and brewed perfectly and a great price.
Friendly waiter's, clean facilities, good music, great atmosphere.

Pub n Grub was busy when we arrived, but it was easy to get a table.
I got a steak with chips and a glass of wine, as did my partner. That came to $86, which is expensive enough but what you would expect to pay for the restaurant's location. The steak was cooked perfectly, and was delicious.
The food came out pretty quick, and all the staff were very friendly.

So so sad that we could not enjoy the view due to smokers having the best seats
Their smoke came into the Dinning room the only way we could enjoy our meals was for us to be locked in
Food average , staff didn't know a beer or wine ?????? Get better staff or train them up

Had dinner there in October 2022. The crispy salmon and the fettuccine were both delicious. Service was also excellent, noting that there is a general staff shortage nowadays.

I had the fish burger and 2 pina coladas, absolutely amazing. My partner had the steak meal and was full until 2pm the next day. The customer service is great, I highly recommend.

Didn't ask for my vaccination certificate despite advertising themselves as vaccine certificate only. On the plus side, their Hazy IPA from the tap was good. When I went to have my pint refilled they gave me a new glass, which increases the chance of spread. Wasn't happy about their covid etiquette, but it's still a nice pub.

Terrible steak. Husband I each had one and 1 beer each. Bill was $94 for this (it was a public holiday so their was a surcharge) and their was so much fat and tendons. We were with our 1 year old and when we mentioned it we were told we should of said something earlier and they would of recooked it. It was after 2 so we were hungry already and no way our kid would of enjoyed waiting for it to be recooked. Not impressed and this has always been our stop in Taupo.
Also been 2 years they have been saying someone broke the change table..... Time to just replace it and stop using that excuse. Won't be back again.

Been here twice for lunch and the service is always great very friendly the food is yum great portions and reasonable prices.. Definitely recommend this place 😊
