The bartender gave us an evil look. Ended up not ordering anything not even a single drink. She needs a long break that's for sure.

As a local it's a place to go to if you want to chill out after a hard day at work!
They cater for the casual and, the not so casual clientele. The service is 'Top Class,' and Very Welcoming.
On the Drinks and Food Side, their Drink's Selection is at The Top Side Of Drink's To To Drink. From Coffee, Non Alcoholic, To Wine, RTD's, on The Beer Side you have a selection of Locally Brewed Beer to Imported, you have a choice of bottled beer, Jugs, or individual glasess such as 5oz, 7oz, 12oz, Quart Glasses which is more commonly known as a Handle, and Pints.
On the food you have a choice of Bar meals which consists of Toasted Sandwiches ( Ham n Cheese, Ham n Pineapple, Cheese n Onion, etc ) Pies, Ham Burgers, Fish n Chips, then there is the good old Steak, Egg's n Chips, Sausages, Eggs n Chips, Fish, Eggs n Chips.
On the entertainment side there is music playing continuously throughout the day, there is a Gaming Lounge Area Which is 18+, Pool Tables.
There is A Karaoke On Friday or Saturday Nights, and on Occasions A Live Band.
So yes, if you are looking a Nice, Warm and Friendly Place To Relax After A Hard Day Or A Place To Rest and Have A Quiet Drink, drop into The Post Boy Hotel on the corner of Vanguard and Gloucester Street in Central Nelson.

Quality service and a good atmosphere... The Post Boy Hotel was open when others were not (approx 7-8pm close to christmas) hence my stop in to chuck a few bucks down the drain in the gambler and chug a few of tui's fine ale.. no complaints here, although... bring back smoking in pubs ahaha - make it the only place you can smoke in NZ 2025 Cheers!
