Awesome buffet, good food selection. Lots of seating. You take a plate, napkin, and utensils, then choose what you'd like to eat. You can get up as many times as you like. Buffets selection has cheese, meats, seafood, salad, vegetables, pasta, sauces, bread, soup, and dessert. Great staff, fast clean up.

Had a fantastic time, decent selection for the size of the layout, roast meat was 10/10, family friendly and positive atmosphere. We'll be back and likely regulars. Thank you

Dined tonight with a group of friends at the buffet table.
Got to say the food was dreadful, quailty very poor and for $30 bucks a head I definitely won't be returning.
Left hungry and unsatisfied, so glad the company was outstanding.
Sadly a drink and a game of pool might be the best thing that comes out of this establishment!

Very good place to relax and chill with friends and family. Service always good and the food is very good, the buffet is next level. Enjoy coming here, I do.

Disappointing lunch today. Myself and one other at the table chose the beef burger. Patty dry and hard. Bacon bits dry and hard. Nice atmosphere for family get together but I don't think I'll be eating here again.

Poor customer service, went with 4 others for dinner. They would not renew our membership card to get a meal discount. We left and went to local Chinese. Won't be back to this unfriendly Club ever.

We went for an evening meal after a long hard day. It was my first time there to have a meal. The staff was helpful when I enquired about gluten free at the buffet. The restaurant was clean, food well presented. The chef was helpful. Some items were labeled gf which helped. The salads were beautifully presented and very tasty. The lamb was moist and tender. Several desert choices that were gf. Good value for the price.

A very enjoyable visit, nice premises & a relatively comprehensive smorgasboard / buffet for the money.
Ladies in attendance were friendly & attentive.

Bar staff kind of spoiled the "moment" being more like 'military police' when questioning one as to one's club membership & presentation of required membership card

Its finally done a big improvement since I was their last by offering a proper buffet where u can dish up your meals & go back 4 2nds on meat etc vs the other silly set up. I wish they had a better pudding option as this was VERY limited & not the best. It would be nice to see pav & cheese cake added the the pudding list along with fresh fruit salad.

I haven't been in a workermans club for bloody years. A real nice relaxed place to go, as long as you follow the general rules. Laughter, gambling. Pool. Snooker and many more things to join into.

Terrible experience. Website said they close at 10pm on Sunday. We arrived at 7.30pm with 8 people and they started clearing up the food before 8pm meaning we only essentially had one chance to go up. Extremely disappointed at the service as it felt like we were being rushed as the servers kept looking towards our table as if they were in a hurry to close up and go home. Had a much pleasurable experience at The Gardens buffet the following week without being rushed.

Very busy on a Wednesday night for Papanui members as special meal deal. Lots of club members using this deal. Very busy only a few tables available. I had beef stew. Ok but not meaty or full of flavour. Partner had the curry. Once again OK. Neither meal worth going back for. Guest had fish and chips with extra piece of fish. That was 2 pieces of fish. Nice amount of blue cod. Shame not baked option.

Although there are less options than the other places in Chch the cooking here couldn't be faulted.
And a very reasonable price!
Very good staff also.
