Often filled with locals it can be overwhelming for new people coming however the friendly staff and homely atmosphere quickly reduce any worries about stepping into unknown territory. I signed up for the loyalty program however not sure if it's worth it as you don't save much and can't redeem 'points' on drinks- only food. Overall 4/5 stars as it provides everything a local pub should with a bit more, however losing a star for the lack of variety in food and drinks, as well as the average pricing.

Tried the $40 for 2 steak, it was pretty good. The service is great. The atmosphere is unique, it feels very 90s. The place is not that big, a bit squeezy. There is a nice fireplace inside. I like how they give tomato sauce by default without being asked.

The food has really deteriorated over the years and sadly I couldn't even eat half of the snapper, previously it was fresh battered, this one was from a box, insanely dry, a really unlpesant meal. I won't be back to eat from here, the staff and premises are good however, I'd come for a drink but that's it.

Fast friendly service from the crew today with complimentary chip baskets for the Western women's football teams! Was also treated to an 'on the house' slushie for being player of the day - fairly sugary & unsure what the alcohol content was, but a welcome gift all the same! Good local pub meals, drinks & prices. If you are looking for a family friendly venue without all the trappings then this could be it!

Now this is what I call a local pub. Impeccable service didn't have to lift a finger, thought I was seeing double but it was just the incredible twins behind the bar, Katy and Sam. Garlic bread was too notch I demolished it and left no crumbs. Well done O'Sheas I will be coming back here every time I'm in Christchurch.

Wow! Now this is what I call a quality local. The service here, impeccable. The girls, gorgeous (especially those twins). Was provided with the utmost and serendipitous experience with complete credit going to the hostesses with the mostest, Katelyn and Samantha Brown. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to have a quality Irish time watching the horse races and up for a mighty pint of Guiness.

We both ordered Beer battered Fish, was certainly not freshly beer battered at all, was frozen fish portions all identical size/shape, so disappointing. Will not be returning

OK so you want to take a new Tinder swipe right, Girlfriend, Mistress, Secretary or other somewhere your wife or other girlfriends will not see or hear about you.

Here you are behind a good wall but if you recognize anyone coming in there are not a lot of places to hide from them.

There is a front and back way in so you have escape routes also some parking around the back.

It is far enough away to be just locals on a weekday except Friday, on Friday to fit in Hi-Vis is the theme but the builders and laborers may put your figure to shame and the woman be distracted.

Great food, not bad prices and if you pack your golf clubs it is close enough to the golf course to meet her and leave your car and phone there going in her car, allowing you the excuse you had problems with a hole and lost your balls at one point and the beautiful shapes and curves being impressive an innocent meaning.

The best pub food I had in a very long time. Excellent service with very friendly staff. The food was hot and came quickly. The garlic bread was very very tastey

Bloody lovely, well priced, generous sized meals, friendly staff. Only in Chch for the weekend and considering going back tomorrow night.

Disappointing at best unfortunately. Still ate it though as i was hungry lol! I Had the roast of the day - Beef, while it was well priced the meat was plain, boring and just generally dull. The veges and were still solid.
The staff were friendly enough though.

This is a really nice tavern to have a good time with friends in a relaxed atmosphere and also for a lunch or dinner with your partner. The attention is very friendly and the food is great. One extra thing that I've found awesome about this place is that they have Becks beer on tap which is not very common to see in other places.
