My husband and I have stayed 4 times here, very clean, staff are cool, our go to place for alone time a few quiet drinks, dinner and an early night. We absolutely love it here, continental breakfast ??'?🏼??'?🏼??'?🏼

We had a great stay. The staff are super friendly. Facilities comfortable. We were able to park our motorbikes in front of our room. Highly recommend:)

On arrival, our $166 room was teenytiny so asked for a bigger room. Manager v helpful and we moved to Studio room2 for another $60:more spacious but sadly disappointing.Bed comfy and fab shower Thank God, but...terrible dank smell upon entry to room, which by morning we discovered must have been due to very rotten window sill in the lounge...old bits of food in microwave, green slime on outer shower box ledge, curtain falling off railing, birds nest in ceiling right above the main bed and to top it all off the front door couldn't be shut..at all let alone locked.... Had to prop a dining chair under the door knob for security overnight. All this for for $226 a night....what the heck...seriously over priced...paid first so no chance of getting a discount. Won't be back!

We stayed with them up in the hotel during the cyclone event of last week and even though they had no power no Internet and they were smart enough to have a back up generator so they could cook meals. It was a challenge for everyone living in Northland and we were five guys touring around the North Island from Australia and the staff are fantastic. In particular I want to praise the assistant manager Neil who looked after us fantastically and went over and beyond his role to ensure that during this challanging time we were looked after and safe. Neil made our trip and will be back regards John and the Peter Gray team .

Fantastic staff, location is great and the food at the bar was pretty good as well. Rooms are a little small for what we paid and like many hotels these days its in need of a little TLC (Jan 2023)

Stayed in the one bedroom villa. The villas are located about 30 meters uphill behind the hotel, so bar/street noise is reduced (it was quiet when we stayed on a Thursday night. Occupancy was also not high on the occasion we stayed). The villa interior was dated but spacious, and there is AC. There is a kitchen with electric cooktop, and large fridge/freezer. Our stay included breakfast, which had a good selection and there are options for people who are gluten free. The staff here are relaxed, approachable and friendly. (4.5/5)

A great hotel with amazing staff. Food mostly Top Notch except the 🍕. I had two on separate occasions both needed more cooking, cheese was only just melted. The bottom was just coloured. Everything else was good

Nice people, beautiful spot but staff shortages are affecting the level of service. A simple takeaway coffee took half an hour.

Great location our Easter sisters weekend 2022. Friendly staff and good presentation. Safe and good security ??'? our view was spectacular 😍 hot chocolate was yummy as and Opononi has a wonderful story to share about Opo the 🐬 😊. Now my sisters know who Opo is😊 good experience 😊

Extremely friendly staff, lovely views even though we had rainy days. The food was great and they have my pilsner on tap 😊. What esle should I wish for. Great place tk stay if you escaping north west

We stopped for lunch and mistakenly went to the pub side instead of the restaurant. We Had an acceptable meal, but it was a pub meal.

Stay the night here , was luck to get a room as fully book. Lucky there was a cancellation. Very good room, comfortable beds, very friendly staff. All up very happy.

Absolutely brilliant place to stay. The food at the hotel is beautiful with a friendly welcoming atmosphere and great staff. The rooms were spotless. Amazing shower with perfect water pressure! Not something you often get in accommodation! I would highly recommend staying here.

Checked in around 6pm, was greeted by lovey staff at the bar who gave us our room key, room had very cool decor with a balcony and view of the harbour. Breakfast was amazing, great selection. Great value for money has to be one of the best places we stayed at on our northland trip, really cool spot!! Wish we could have stayed longer
