Great facility - a gem for the Wellington Bowling community. I understand the rink was recently re-laid, a couple of the rinks aren't that great - too many straighteners, hopefully they can sought these out but at the end of the day it's the same for everyone so you just have to adjust accordingly.
My other feedback is the meals and the service in Chrissy's 'Bistro' - one word AVOID. I ordered a 'streak' pie. Very disappointing. No discernible meat present, more of a steak flavoured gravy / jelly. Asking for cutlery was an experience, boy oh boy what a grumpy response from the cashier. FYI calling the food facility a Bistro is an big overstatement as to its quality.
It got worse! I witnessed appalling customer service on 6 July. One poor fella inquired about his order of fries (he'd apparently been waiting over 30 minutes and had to go up twice to see where they were). Well did he get the short shift for having the temerity to ask for a refund. The cashier was actually yelling at him. While a refund was paid out (reluctantly), it is not okay to berate a customer in front of other customers and staff.
One final observation: despite its apparently slick website, overall it is pretty basic. Key information is missing, for example while there is a link to a bowling events calendar, there is no information!!
2 August. Hi Barry, thanks for your detailed response, it's much appreciated! I stand corrected on the whether or not some of the product is actually made on premises or is bought in and have updated my feedback. Essentially though you have confirmed that Chrissy's is responsible for the quality, which based on my and my companion's experience was sadly lacking when we visited four weeks ago. Hopefully the people running Chrissy's takes the feedback on board and that there is a measurable improvement!
