TOO GOOD! Food was delicious, generous servings at great price. Went for lunch, heaps of parking, accessible, lovely staff and relaxing atmosphere. Definite must do in Mosgiel. These pics don't do it any justice. Thank you to the team at Mosgiel Tavern :)

Mosgiel dials down at night, but this place was crowded on a Friday evening. If you must, get the ribs. (NZD $30 for small, NZD$37 for large )

Fundamentally a beer place and a hangout spot for locals to gamble and watch sports, the ambience may not be as quaint. However, when beer is NZD$8 for a pint during happy hours, there's not much to complain.

Great atmosphere. Private booths to dine in if you wish.
Service was faultless and didn't have to wait too long to be served or for our meals to arrive.
Meals were tasty and well presented. Average servings which satisfied our appetites with reasonable prices.

Bad food. Cold soggy onion rings swimming in oil, soggy chips and rotten lettus, couldn't eat. Service not much better. Have been 4 times and food was good. But this meal. Distaster. Won't be back.

Very very old looking place, very dusty place not good for some you older people with breathing problems. not very nice service apart from younger thin lady is so lovey with Brown hair so so so lovey. Give her a pay rise only nice thing I say about the place.

Don't Recommend meals vegetables hard, meat chewy. We when over to the bar to have a few drinks
Bar staff not so friendly and welcoming.
Much older lady needs stop standing looking at people. Bigger old man guy trashy mouth on him.

Go up to the RSA and you get a beautiful tasting meal fantastic drinks & fantastic Bar Staff.

Went for a family meal. Meals were quite big and very tasty. Kids meals were great too. Menu was a little different to the one online and one of the beers on the menu was no longer available, which was annoying, but we got quite good service and ultimately great food so 5 stars in the end. Worth a visit for sure.

Best soup I've had in years and the meals were excellent. Chicken was well cooked, nice fresh salad and proper chips.
