Such an awful stay, if you value your peace during the holidays do not book this place. The shower curtain was dirty and the toilet was not cleaned properly, the room was clean though. We did not mind these but the night band music literally ruined our night so loud as you are in concert we could not sleep the whole night as the band finished playing music at 11:05 pm and still lots of noise people charting could be heard. The fist night again people chatting loudly we could hear them . I wish during booking they would say that they will have really loud nights so we wouldn't book and ruin our holiday. I am writing this review while people are fighting in their downstair after the band music . Terrible stay.

After almost climbing Mt Taranaki it was great to come here before heading back to Auckland. Good price and the best bed. Make sure you get the room with the king bed

Went there with a group of friends from work while at Americana service was excellent had some cold beers on tap toilets were Abit small and smelly but other than that good time bar

Excellent customer service, from booking online, checking in and every request we made during our stay, all handled so politely and efficiently. Rooms were clean and lovely.

Nice and tidy rooms. Good if your looking for something on the lower price scale. Staff have been amazing, and even more convenient that the wayfinders is right beside the hotel. The view of Mt Taranaki is absolutely breathtaking.

We came for Waitara High reunion, but Fri night we called in with friends who are locals & the other locals were all so friendly & welcoming, music was great..great atmosphere.

Amazing hotel and excellent staff and location ,Room was super clean and bed was great, staff were extremely friendly and helpful from the front staff to the cleaner , places like was amazing old pub aren't around much these days so to have a chance just to stay at a place like this is an honor .5 star in my book.

My partner & I visited this establishment for the weekend last weekend, the rooms were beautifully presented, beds were very comfortable, room serviced daily. The most amazing managers you could wish for, super friendly and helpful, would definitely stay there again if in the area. Only disappointing thing that there were no meal available only bar snacks, but these were the best of value and very tasty. Thanks ladies for looking after us,

Friendly staff great for a quiet one

Such a great little hotel. Everything was super clean, comfortable beds, and great shower pressure. Mini fridge, kettle, cutlery, etc. provided (no microwave or stove though). Walking distance to groceries and takeaways. And the staff was so nice! Very happy to support this business - would definitely stay here again.

Ok, as a teenager I stayed in Hotels like this as I travelled around NZ with my Dad. So an old style, nicely done up hotel with super clean, large modern rooms was great. No meals, but lots of choices around town, all walking distance! (note closing times and what days things are open- you're not in Kansas now Dorothy.) Huge bed, nice bathroom, TV, quiet at night.
