Food was great. Drinks are an absolute rip off. How do you justify $7.00 for a handle of Sprite lemonade with ice?, Especially after the first one was $4.00. Wouldn't recommend the place to anyone other than for a meal.

Always a good meal...every time a meal comes out you wish that was the one you ordered because it looks so good.

Great pub meals are large and cooked just right we had fish n chips with salad and pasta salad. 3 pieces of fish well worth the $24.50

Man behind the bar was extra rude. Dark and dingy. Didn't feel comfortable at all. It's a shame cause the menu looks great

Noisy busy so not for a romantic dinner but great if you like a social atmosphere. Food large portions. The fish ,delicious ,was fresh Dory and I am fussy about fish.

Excellent meal with a good vibe. Staff are friendly, and helpful. Young crew doing the cooking put out an excellent meal.

Great menu. Food was perfect. Good sized servings. We had nachos, kids nuggets, kids fish and chicken salad. Great atmosphere.

We ordered two medium steaks they came out bleeding and tough. The ladies got us another meal but unfortunately they were not cooked properly either, so much blood on the plate

Our meal was absolutely delicious, if visiting whangarei this place is a must stop to have lunch or dinner, meals are top notch worth the money you pay. Awesome staff too.

Great batter on the fish, yummy chicken delight. Huge screens w/ horse racing, cricket, etc makes it a little loud

Fantastic service and delicious meals

Premo feed as you would expect from a pub meal.
Steak was cooked as I asked and seafood basket was crisp and not greasy.
Only downside was very noisy with the footy game and the racing on with noise punters yelling.
Will be coming back.

Our families gathered here often. The meals & service is always good.
We appreciate the kitchen staff..they really earn their pay.
Only gripe for me is: its a family friendly place but the music videos need to be rated..not at all good for our young ones eyes.(that's how it was as at March 2022-I had asked to have them off at the time so hoping things could have changed since..was in Tuesday 10th May & can't say I noticed any TV on).

Food is very nice indeed just little bit dark inside might need a little bit of paint just to brighten things up abit. Woody's food is very nice price for food ( A1) not to pricey for amount of food you get I recommend the seafood fritters lovely

Scotch fillet steak was amazing and perfectly cooked. Fries are sooo good and crunchy. we went abit late in the evening which isn't recommended as it's pub time so the music was quite loud. Definitely go earlier in the evening unless you like the loud bustle of the pub.Staff were great. I didn't do full 5 stars just because I didn't like the flavour of the shrimp. it had a beer taste however personal preference my grandad loved it.
