A large group of us dined here this evening. We enjoyed a very satisfying meal of roast pork or whitebait fritters. Deserts were blueberry cheesecake and sticky date pudding. Service was excellent ??'?

This restaurant offers an excellent variety of delicious food, outstanding service, and a pleasant atmosphere. Although the decor and aroma suggest a slightly outdated ambiance, the food and service surpass those at the Last Resort, where we were lodging. We were thrilled to discover this place and returned multiple times to savor every meal and delightful experience. I strongly recommend dining here.

Wondered here from the local campground and loved the whole experience - from the old nostalgic decor, to the awesome service. And then there's the food! We had fish and chips and wedges, with sticky date for dessert and every bite was delicious.
If we ever find ourselves in this part of the Buller region again we'll pop in for sure.

Stayed 3 nights in our motorhome. Service and meals in the hotel is 5🌟. Bar and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful, plus extremely courteous. Had a one man band on Friday night, no surcharge, and he was brilliant. NZMCA members parking. Get a good deal with WiFi, toilet and shower included in the price.$7 per person per night. Unbeatable value.

Started with a beer out front in the sun, booked in to lovely room out the back. Very well equipped. Dinner was lovely. Family run with everyone helping out. Busy with quiz night and locals plus visitors but no long waits. Enjoyed our two nights.

Called in for lunch on a stunning West Coast day. It was really quiet, so I had my pick of the tables. Opted for one outside in the Sun. Got a Beer and sat in the Sun soaking up some Vitamin D. Ordered a burger for lunch which arrived quickly. Really tasty and was a decent portion size.

The Staff were really friendly and the prices not too bad, especially considering the remote location. Such a beautiful old building, located in what is a really beautiful part of New Zealand.

The takeaway food is really good, and very reasonably priced. Eating in there's a good variety on the menu, and the servings are plentiful. There's a small pokie room and a good sized bar area. The restroom facilities are very clean and nicely laid out.

Great friendly service, good pub food. Highly recommend.

Room was dated but adequate. Water from the tap not that great (brown from a bore we reckon). Where they shone was the evening meal. Simple but tasty. The desserts (chocolate brownie and sticky date pudding) were epic.
