The atmosphere is friendly and comforting. The new enclosed outdoor setting is perfect. It looks so good. Perfect for drinks with friends where you can talk, while one of the local bands is playing inside.

Went for dinner, reasonably priced and tasty food. A band was playing from 7-30pm. Would definitely go again.

Went here for a few drinks and a meal with friends from chch and invercargill. The drinks were great the food was spectacular and the dessert was out of this world. Staff were very professional and polite and friendly. Music was fun.

We came here as a group of four adults and two 1yr olds. I asked first if it was ok that we brought the kids in, and the staff behind the bar were very welcoming. There was an older guy at the end of the bar (assuming the owner) who was extremely rude and it was clear the kids are certainly not welcome. So if you are wanting to come as a family, don't.
We were all quite shocked.
The two younger staff behind the bar were friendly and this review is nothing to do with them.

Sunday roast, meat chewy thick slices. Not nice. Served in a bowl swimming in gravy, not good. No horse radish sauce available. Wouldn't order again.

We ordered steak, egg and chips with side salad and the mussels. Steak cooked to perfection, medium rear, and the mussels were delish.
It was Music Night Wednesday, so a bit of live music too.
Very enjoyable. Very quick and friendly service.

Beer tasted good, same as everywhere else. But... We got asked to leave half an hour before closing as we were the last people there.

Very average pub food, one older staff member was very controlling and made us feel unwelcome. It seems kids are not welcome there despite them having a kids menu.

Didn't eat there yet but just wanted to check it out. Great service told us about the bands and food they offer. I certainly will be going there
