Have been getting takeaways under 3 owners and the new ones are the worst, won't answer phone (tried many many times over the last couple of months different days and times and just given up) or answer and told to ring back in an hour then do and they're still to busy, we wouldn't have minded waiting an hour to an hour and a half for food to pick up but just be honest so I can just drive to Motueka or even Richmond for dinner.
The last time we did get food the burger patties were raw and just browned on the outside inedible.

Went for tea last night. Ordered , entree didn't come out went and asked 30min later, they where just doing it, then it came out with 3 of our 4 main, one came out with out the sauce ordered, which was taken back and got put on thanks to the lovely waiter, the 4th meal didn't arrive, started asking for it. Finally after a lot of asking and other people got their meals. Who ordered way after us ,we got our last meal. My 16yr waited over 1hr for his main, but our other came out 30min before he got his, thanks to Tina who got this sorted and we got free ice cream., So from a local this is bad, and we won't be back.

Burger had a rissole-style patty which was a bit dry, but for $7.50 for a huge fresh burger I'm not complaining! Tasty and I would happily return.

Sorry to leave a bad review but worst pizza I've ever had - not authentic base, too much onion and red pepper, processed cheese. We also had to wait 45 minutes for them and were overcharged to begin with.

I was waiting for two hours for the worst fish and chips in my life, it was more like oil with fish and no taste at all. If you want eat good just don't come to this place. Ask the food to eat there and they throw me the food in a bag full of oil with a little piece of disgusting fish and chips??'?🏻??'?🏻??'?🏻??'?🏻

Met up with family for my birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉 🎈 🎁 🎊...we were intending to meet at the kohatu but they didn't have anything worth eating, so we ended up going into Tapawera to the pub...soooo glad 😊 we did...all eight of us enjoyed our food & ended up having to get doggy bags ???' because of the size of the meals...even the kids size meals were massive with HEAPZ of chips 🍟...

Delicious food and comfortable atmosphere. The food takes a bit but they make everything fresh and overall really great and Bar and restaurant!

Accommodation was amazing value. Clean, tidy and everything you needed while on a cycle tour as well as free use of washing machine and drier. Hotel food and drink were great too. Will recommend to others.

First class location and comfortable accommodation, particularly for cyclists. Helpful people - the restaurant was closed on the Monday but they still rustled up a meal for me. Wonderful area with NZ's largest hop gardens supporting the craft beer industry

Lovely friendly staff, new owner making great changes to hotel/cafe. We were on a bike trip and stayed in there units, clean and tidy, food in the hotel was excellent,

Best size serving of fish and chips I've seen since the 1990s!! Tasty and fresh and ready super fast! Looking forward to trying the new menu too. Great work team!

Had a lunch here, chicken burger and the wife a charcoal chicken salad. All processed, all worst quality, not been close to charcoal. This place is not for eating I am afraid. Although in the middle of the hop territory the selection of beer is extremely poor. I understand the place has been for sale a long time, hopefully someone picks it up and put it back to shape again.
