A jewel here on Picton! Service is outstanding. Food is well prepared, well presented, and delicious. Was served by the chef himself. Good family restaurant.

We first went to the Barn for lunch. The staff was extremely welcoming and warm. We had the soup of the day and fish of the day. The soup was well made with bread rightly toasted with butter and herbs. The fish of the day was butter fish. The fish was excellent with a bit crisp on the outside and juicy inside. It was served with fresh garden salad, fries and sauce. We had the home made sticky date pudding that was served warm with perfect sauce, ice cream and creams. Excellent portions. The fire is an old fire which keeps it super warm. The place is decorated with beautiful everyday items of the 70s and 80s. We loved the place that we booked a table for dinner. Highly recommend the roast of the day. Over all a perfect restaurant

What a warming place on a cold Picton day. Amazing slide show of old photos of the area.
Great atmosphere. Good range of meals if you are hungry, and good coffee 🙂
Nice to chat with the owner. Thanks for your hospitality Blair. Will definitely return on our next visit

We ate here twice in our short 2 nights stay at Picton. The deco of the restuarant is interesting, taking us back in time by looking through the collectibles from decades back. They even play a video of the history of Picton.

I personally love the seafood chowder. It is packed with loads of seafood goodness and the base is creamy and smooth coupled with their garlic bread. The next will be their white wine mussels. In fact I enjoyed all we had there.

My husband and I got the pancakes here. Great portion size and value for money. The pancakes were fluffy and moist!
My husband is vegetarian so the chef put his bacon on my pancakes (in the photo) :) good service, hardly anyone here in the morning so it was nice and quiet.
Coffee was a 6.5/10 but husband enjoyed it because it tasted nostalgic to him. There was no soy milk option for coffee.

My apologies... The fish of the day fish and chips were so yummy I forgot to take a picture. Fresh and light and not too oily. The day we visited it was very quiet but I imagine this place rocks at night.

My wife and I went on an airplane tour of the sounds and then went to lunch. On our tour we saw mussel farms spotted throughout the sounds. So, when I saw them on the menu I knew I had to try them. They were excellent! We also tried the fish and fries and they were very good as well. Highly recommend this place!

Old style restaurant with lots of pictures and photos from the past. A bit like a museum with lots to look at on the walls and shelves.Went in with a group of 8, Had a big breakfast was nice eggs cooked well. Coffee not so good couple of orders wrong but they made another for free. Not as busy as the rest of town

Absolutely fabulous meal and service. Matt did a great job with both mine and my daughters fish. Mine was grilled, cooked to perfection. Hers was battered, thin, crispy and perfectly cooked. Salad was crispy with a nice amount of dressing and fries were delicious. Can't wait to return.

We drove into Picton absolutely starving. We finally stumbled upon DAs and OMG. The food was absolutely amazing and so well cooked. The service was incredible, we felt so welcome and well looked after. The food also came out quickly, with massive portion sizes and great presentation. It definitely hit the spot. We were all so satisfied with our meal and the lovely waitresses. Will be back!!
