We went for a birthday as a group ... there was a mixup about the number and we were 2 seats short .... the nice wait staff politely asked the manager if there was a solution .... he quite rudely and loudly said NO THERE ARE NO OTHER SEATS OR TABLES ... then one of our group asked if we could have 2 more chairs and sit 2 people on the ends ... which we did ... so food was nice ... the presentation was nice ... I enjoyed my chicken burger a lot 😁 except for the angry and rude manager the meal was enjoyable ..

Had the misfortune to stand at your bar waiting to attract the attention of anyone who wanted to greet us or seat us or even acknowledge that we were there ( even had time to pour water ) so after about five minutes we called out to anyone who would listen thanks for the poor service and start to leave only to be meet by gentleman whom I can only imagine was the manager who had been working on his laptop at a table saying how sorry he was that we didn't want to stay and offered an excuse that there had been a death in the family!! ( why that had anything to do with us I don't know ?) but either way it was not a very positive experience all round.

Had a meal at CBK wanted some good heartsome pub grub a burger and a steak the steak was ok but the chicken burger was not that great, chicken was burnt, the supposed tomato looked like they had scalped it, and the serving of fries was a child's portion

Fantastic experience! Food was DELICIOUS! We got the hot stones and burgers and it was amazing.
On top of that, service was excellent. Lovely waitresses and super fast.

I had a birthday voucher for CBK which was an unexpected surprise in my email so I went out for lunch with a friend. The menu is definitely extensive but I was excited about the avocado smash that I ordered. Unfortunately there was not the amount of avocado I had expected and my bread was only very lightly toasted. My friend enjoyed her dish but I think I'd stick to the stone grill next time.

Excellent all round. Service was quick, friendly and efficient.
The menu had enough variety to keep everyone happy. Good size portions. Indoor and outdoor seating.
All at ground level, so is all wheelchair accessible.
Plenty of parking

Good food. Reasonable prices. Very friendly attentive staff. Great outdoor seating area. Even given a $10 voucher for our next visit. Overall an enjoyable experience.

The staff at CBK Kaiapoi were fantastic. Hamish served me and he was so friendly and easy going. The other staff on site treated me wonderfully and I felt very welcome. Definitely worth a visit. Not to mention their Skillet Cookie is to die for!

Food was great. Atmosphere had a good mix of bar and restaurant, met nicely in the middle. Didn't catch our servers name but she was fantastic we will be coming back. 10/10

We came here for dinner last night as a group of 6. Service, food and atmosphere was all 10/10. Thank you so much for a wonderful dinning experience, calamari was the best I've ever had! :)

We dined last night , 4 of us. 3 enjoyed their meals but I found the dumplings really disappointing. 7 slightly overdone dumplings on a small amount of rocket. I honestly think they need to be dressed a little more imagitivly or maybe not be on the menu.
Staff lovely as always.

I ordered nachos which were presented well but were very bland. Others at the table ordered breakfasts which arrived cold. My sister had the karange chicken and she enjoyed it very much. The staff were all very nice and we couldn't fault them.

First time at CBK Kaiapoi last week for lunch, Tues 10 May.
Staff were awesome, as was the food.
I had the fillet steak on grillstone and it was so yummy. Asked for garlic butter to add to steak, while it was cooking.
Put my onion rings and chips on stone to keep them hot, as I am a slow eater.
Others at table all had different choices to mine, plus dessert and it was all well presented and looked so tasty.

Prices were what would be expected for great quality food. My fillet steak was $39 from memory, plus extra for garlic butter and onion rings.

I will be driving to Kaiapoi again, to eat at this fabulous restaurant. ??'???'?

Not as big a selection of beers as I thought it would have. Service was good. We decided to go with street food and share a few plates. Ordered the calamari. Cooked well. Shame it was too salty but staff were happy to re-do it for me. Oysters were good if a little small. Bao bun fillings were great. Shame the buns themselves were not light and fluffy. The popcorn cauliflower wasn't great. Everything we ordered came with some form of mayo. Think they need to be a bit more creative with their dipping sauce.
