Really enjoyed our 2 nights ... staff laid on some pizzas even though we were late in. Bar, pool table, authentic NZ which was great for us brits.. made very welcome... and we had friendly ducks morning and evening. One mark down because a few loose door handles were a worry to close ... other than that loved it and would have liked to stay longer

No-nonsense but pleasant and friendly town pub. The tables by the gambling machines and sports screens are a good place to meet locals. The pizza wasn't very good (oddly doughey flavor), but the chicken burger was one of the best I've ever had.

Food was the worst we've eaten during our tour of Southland. Pan fried fish was not fresh and overcooked curled up at the ends and dry. Roast pork was reheated

Always good food to be obtained here located just off main road and worth a stop if hungry. Meals on large side ad mostly cater for locals

We got a burger and a fish and chips for takeaway. Unfortunately the worst food we ate during our 2 months touring New Zealand. The burger patty was very thin and had been over cooked. The fish was very oily and salty - the oil clearly wasn't hot enough when the fish was fried and sadly had been drowned in far too much salt afterwards. We felt rough after eating; ingredients were of very poor quality and cannot recommend eating here.

Friendly staff and the takeaways are "good value", if you can stomach the food.

Friendly, accommodating, great place to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon, look forward to visiting again!

Excellent service .....helpful and friendly staff .....good menu choices .....good prices......food portions were good too .....and very chicken wrap was spot on .....would recommend and would definitely come back ....toilets clean too

Good spacious studio room for couple, reasonable price. Room facilities need some improvement (curtain cod falling, without small fridge). Anyway, staff are very helpful and friendly. Recommend
