Stay here for 1 night recently. Our room and bed was super comfy. Bar down stairs was great, especially in front of the open fireplace. Great for warming up on a winters night. Would definitely go back for a sister trip next time!

I have been here multiple times and normally love it but we went here twice recently and first time they forgot our meal - they were very lovely about trying to make up for it but unfortunately we had lots of travelling to go so it was a big bummer after a long day. Initially I dismissed this because we have had great service but went again on the W/E and the service really lacked. No one came to us for orders, it was a lot of 'let's get up and get a waiter for food and drinks' on multiple occasions and then clearing away was really slack. I even waved down someone who looked at me and then kept doing what they were doing. My meal was also pretty average and it was most expensive on the list. It's such a big shame because we often stopped here on our way back home from Auckland but I doubt we will be back again. I hope the service improves and maybe a bit of change to the menu and we'll likely be back. ???"

I got an entre sized salad for dinner and it was too large to finish.
Gets busy very quickly, and loud.
The balcony at the back is beautiful and has such a lovely view.

We booked 2 rooms. 1 x queen, 1 x family unit and both were very spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Beds are so good and comfortable.
I have only given 4 stars for service because we never got to dine in at the restaurant, in saying that, it was good Friday so totally understandable. We have eaten at this restaurant before and the food is yummy. It is the reason why we stopped here for the night rather than traveling straight to Auckland. This place is great for a stopover stay.

The staff did apologize for the restaurant, like I said it was completely understandable. There were some other food options available close by so it's not like we were left to starve.

Warkworth itself is a lovely community. Love the little riverside walkway, and the locals are very friendly.

All in all we had a lovely stay here. The room was light and airy and spotlessly clean. Serviced daily thank you to the kind ladies who clean the rooms. The restaurant staff were great and so very helpful and the food was good Would definitely stay here again.
Everything was great

Good weather makes all the difference we were lucky to sit outside in the sun whilst having a drink and a meal.

Both sets of staff were extremely efficient. The catering staff took our order and we were soon able to tuck into some really nice food.

On completion of our meal and soon after we left our seats the unpaid white feather staff were very good at clearing up the table left overs.

Joking apart, we had a very nice meal and if it wasn't for the fact that I'm returning back to the UK I would come back again.

Low price, room was very nice. Comfy bed, love the floor to ceiling curtains. Shower is good. Tidy and clean.
Maybe just repaint side tables beside bed and feed the elephants upstairs. Overall pretty impressed.

We book a table for 6 and the lady on the phone was friendly and accomodating. Our orders came out all together, which is nice to see. The portions were good, staff professional. We had a good evening and the only downside in my opinion is that is a bit pricey for a pub setting. Thanks

We booked for 17 people on a Monday night, pizzas and chips pre- ordered. Food arrived very promptly and was nice, gentleman at bar friendly and poured drinks as requested. Restaurant area is a bit noisy but very impressed all up.

I attended a wedding over the weekend at The Bridgehouse Lodge and the food was beyond amazing. Beautifully catered with plenty of food.

Private function area was nice with no noise carry over from anywhere around.

Open Fire was roaring inside and was lovely to see. We opted for the spring sun in the back garden by the river. Food was really good with charred fresh vegetables and packed salads on all the meals we got. Including kids menu items. My new favorite destination when out riding motorcycles with friends.

Very overpriced. Asked for just a steak and salad which is $40.50 on menu. Steak was good but just had a garnish of salad still got charged $40.50!! Complained online after looking at Bill at home, seems manager did not want to come back to me.

We called in for dinner on a very wet cold evening and were welcomed with warm log fires and very friendly staff. It was our first time there. They have an extensive seasonal menu. Everything we ordered was spot on and delicious. They were busy and had good staff levels. Highly recommend. Will be back !

Perfect location to hold a private function. Kym & staff very professional and caring. Kym throughout the night communicated with us making sure our event had everything that was needed and on time.
The food and service highly recommended cannot fault.
Venue well presented.

Friendly staff. Clean and spacious room with a good shower. No real disturbance with regard to noise from the restaurant and bar. Had dinner in the restaurant and the food was very good. Bed was comfortable and both a fan and heater were provided and were perfectly adequate. Great location for town and river walks

Five stars for the restaurant, 3 for the accommodation. Food earns 5 stars - fabulous! Every course we had was delicious. Staff in restaurant were lovely, but we did have to keep putting our hand up for attention (and staff to tables ratio looked ok). Accommodation was over priced. We stayed in the old part under the eaves, which was cute, beds comfortable. But inadequate toilet paper, towels and check in was unwelcoming (4 in the afternoon- so they weren't overwhelmed with the bar/restaurant activity). And please do something about soap dishes and local information! Shout out to the housekeeping staff who helped us and others with key returns in the morning (because there were no instructions on how to check out).

Had a few waitress trying but.they were extremely busy so completely understandable than a guy waiter came over an it flowed well an the ladies behind the bar overall all staff did extremely well.food was great an drinks atmosphere was great. Short notice of 5 minutes reserved after I called for 7 people an we had 1 chef an one restaurant manager with us an they understood 😀 so great place to go to
