Had a lovely lunch here this week. Food was nice and hot, decent sized platters, have to add the magic mushrooms side was absolutely beautiful highly recommend a try. Our waitress was so very kind and helpful very friendly lady, not sure of her ethnicity but loved her accent. This is such a great place to go for a meal, drink or a game.

Nice place, great food and a warm fire to sit by. Good selection of main meals or gourmet burgers, the pork belly burgers are good.

Was a lovely night out and staff were very friendly. Yummy food and good choices for everyone.

After reading past reviews and looking at the newest reviews that seems like the owners of the restaurant have decided to continually give them selves 5 star reviews to ensure people coming in the door. I'd have to agree with previous reviews in saying that you should stick to a home cooked meal than one from here.

Beer and fries only if dining here. Waitress didnt know anything about the menu, it took ages for the food to be cooked . Advised just before serving the main they couldn't provide and item on the menu requested then advised as serving they couldn't provide sides And then when queried as to why she didn't advise at the start she said she didn't know. When asked by the chef she lied and said she did advise the customer when she didn't. We had a combination of under cooked, over cooked.and Absolute rubbish! Do not recommend! If you have dietary requirements do not come here!!! An hour after eating at this establishment my husband started vomiting it is now 13.30am and he is still vomiting. Please do not eat here if you have Celiacs.. !!!! There food is not GF

Had the full rack of ribs and was not disappointed went down great with a big bottle followed by a slap on the old tradie piano

Bar snacks are probably ok. Nice bar but main meals aren't great. Never know why red cabbage chunks and thick slithers of carrot are added to a salad. Chips overcooked. Peas undercooked.
Will return for a drink but not a meal.

Food was ok, a bit pricey for it being a pub.
Service was ok. Atmosphere has a cold uninviting feeling about it.

Great customer service. Had a dinner with family ordered 4 meals ,warm salad noodles,pork burger and roast, and the last one was chicken meatballs schinzel soo good combination.

Really enjoyed it. Definitely coming back for meals.

Will not be coming back. We waited for ages and we're discusted by the food that we were finally served. The chicken salad that my daughter ordered stated on the menu that it was crispy chicken tenders with garlic aioli drizzled over. instead she received what seemed like thai green chicken curry chicken that had attempted to be washed off. I had the roast and it was chewy and unpleasant. My son had a burger, the pattie was burnt. My husband had a special which was meatball schnitzel which for one is a very strange combo, and after trying, we decided that meatballs and schnitzel should stay far far away from eachother as it was revolting.

Under new management. Meals were delivered quickly and of a good size. Prices are reasonable

We were on a bus trip called .in on our way home had a lovely 2.course meal

Currently staying here 1 or 2 nights per week (Northpark Timaru), and eating at Ascot in the evening. I am usually served by Gravyer. She is such a warm friendly person and lovely to deal with. She remembers your drink order, the goes to show she a people person! The meals are fantastic and very great value for money. Great place ☺️. Thanks team Ascot.

Unfortunately I didn't enjoy my meal, the service very hit and miss however lovely and warm surroundings.

Pizza was tasteless, soggy and disgusting. Pity as ages ago the meals were nice. This was the third time we have had terrible meals
