The food was very nice..had the sirloin reef and beef and my wife had the pasta ...it did take 40min to get our food as there was a good crowd in and only really two waitresses on and two on the bar ..but all in all a great feed and atmosphere

Great place to go for family outings or for an after-work get together. Great specials all week, especially their $20 chicken schnitzel on a Thursday night, it's my nana's go to.

There is wheelchair access however you have to park in the gravel carpark quite far away from where the front door is.

Got the steak meal, it came cold and undercooked (garlic butter didn't melt on steak as it should) salad was your usual pub side salad.. minimal effort, didnt even toss the salad and small..
Doesn't seem like they know how to cook steak it seems 🤷

Never again! We went here for dinner, it was Ribs night. We got told to pick a table and a waiter would be with us soon. We sat there waiting for half an hour before having to go to the bar and request we please get served. Finally got served. Waited again for our drinks to arrive, had to go back to the bar and ask again for drinks. Finally our Ribs arrived, we took one bite and that's all we ate as the Ribs were cold. By this time, we have been in this restaurant for a while and absolutely not happy. We asked the staff to take the cold Ribs away, they are not acceptable. Realizing that it could be another lengthy wait, we decided we had had enough. We went back to the bar and advised that we no longer wanted a meal. The young girl behind the bar tried to tell us that because we took a bite out of one of the Ribs to discover how cold they were, that we will have to pay for them! Asked for the manager! Explained how terribly unhappy we were with the service and cold food. I advised manager, happy to pay for the drinks. BUT NOT PAYING FOR COLD FOOD. We left and ate somewhere else. NEVER going back!

Really enjoyed the food. Loved the little pack my toddler got to keep him busy. Unfortunately they are not to "family friendly" had to change his nappy on the bathroom floor, which was very unpleasant being 8 months pregnant. Would highly recommend to install a nappy changing station.

I was disappointed with my meal on Sunday night as the chips were barely hot. 3 young ppl were on duty and not a smile from any of them. Then I was ignored and would have had dessert. By that stage the only other ppl there were a couple I knew who weren't impressed as they had being waiting to have their orders taken and a table of 10 had not long sat down and had their orders were taken first. We were the only patrons there. And yes I've had very good meals there before with friends.

Really busy for evening meal New Year's Day. Staff wonderful. We didn't mind the wait. Steak special great value. Thank you.

Too much to write out. It felt like it would have been less effort to toss a salad, throw chips and schnitzel in the oven at home, then the constant "asks" from the waiter. Can you please clean the table? Can we get the child's menu (child had been patiently waiting, and was starting to fall asleep) Can you check on ......
Ruins the point of going out for a stress free meal.

Held a function here October 2022 and are so happy we did. Hannah the bar manager was exceptional, professional and delivered impeccable hosting! The food was 100% outstanding and all communication about our event, the actual venue, the assistance and service was seamless.

We enjoyed an impromptu Saturday lunch and craft beer. The restaurant is cosy on a gloomy, cold winters day. Food was great, beer tasty, and service attentive. The only (wee) fault was that the chips were far too salty - but of course we ate them anyway 😉

Unfortunately this was a pretty disappointing experience. Out of the 8 meals ordered only 2 of us really enjoyed our meals. I ordered the surf and turf which was $10 more than just a steak. For that i got 2 small shrimp and 2 small scallops..pretty sure they were not fresh! The steak was supposed to be medium rare and was a tastless well cooked tough steak!!
Sadly not encouraged to return anytime soon. ???"

What a great place for a family meal or a celebration! Fantastic food, really good atmosphere & Felicity was just wonderful. She has a good sense of humour & was so very friendly & helpful. This is a place I'll come to again when I visit the Nelson area next time.

A very nice brunch destination, with water views and outdoor seating options. Friendly efficient front of house team complement a great kitchen crew whipping up delicious meals. And there's a baby change table in the unisex bathroom! Recommended.
