It's hard to find a great place for a big family that ticks all the boxes but 1852 definitely does. Great food, fast service and lovely friendly wait staff who are only to happy to help. We now come here regularly and tonight we had another great experience for our mums birthday.

Great place! Came in tonight for a casual beer & ended up having dinner. The pork belly was super crispy & delicious. The staff were all really friendly & have good banter. Pokie room is really large & has a good selection of games.

Went in last night was really happy with the food and service. The waitress was so good, a credit to your team easy going manner, helpful, communicative, friendly a real pleasure. Manager friendly & helpful as well. Thanks Jono will be back!

Not only is the bar manager a rude misery, but the management policy is apparently to short change customers by not filling the already small and wildly overpriced jugs. I have asked several times for the short-pour to be filled up, and am informed by bar staff that they will get in trouble. No wonder the place is always empty, taking my regular business to another local now.

Went there tonight, took friends from out of town. Service fantastic and food was great too. Very generous portions. Thanks for a great meal, we'll definitely be back

Pleasantly surprised. We hadn't eaten here since just after the pub had changed owners. It was a basic menu then but a lot more options now.

Both me and my partner in crime had the pork. It can often be a bit of a lottery in terms of being over cooked and dry but both our meals were on point. Well presented and generous proportions. The pork was moist and the crackling was great. The mash was rustic rather than completely smooth but still most acceptable.

The accompanying bottle of wine was just right.

I finished with the sticky date pudding and was not disappointed.

All in all a most acceptable dinner out.

Steak I had was overcooked (ordered a rare got medium well) and the salad was grey and tasted old. Partner ordered a Roast which had old, dried out vegetables. The waitress didn't seem to care about our table, forgetting to give us utensils and attending the larger table when they arrived. Other than that the food was decent.

We came in looking forward to having 2 for 1 BUT... they had run out of fish and chips which left me without an option as none of the seafood options were available.

Had to just get a bowl of fries, which came with a lot of pepper on them, had to send them back. Seems they just took the top ones with pepper out and served me half a bowl of chips.

The steaks and pork were good for the others with me though.

The younger bar staff were awesome. The manager needs to find a new vocation, indifferent attitude and poor service.

Children's friendly restaurant. We love their kids menu.
$14 came with a selection of drink, main and ice -cream.
2 for 1 Main on Monday, no surcharge on public holiday was a bonus.

Ribs and chicken was okay but the lasagna special was something else😂 the chef must be a Dentist during the day cause his rock solid lasagna nearly knocked all my teeth out😂 I could've used it at work to knock a few nails in if I really wanted too. Surprised it didn't crack the plate when he put it on it.

Visited 4 times now and the food has been solid each time! Steak was gorgeous. Beautifully seasoned and cooked to perfection, lovely and pink. Generous portions, good atmosphere, friendly staff. Excellent job from a newly opened business.
