Tuesday night and the place was heaving. Mind you, a good steak meal and a drink for $29 and you can't go wrong. Despite being out in the courtyard on a cold night, it was pleasantly comfortable and wait staff were friendly.

200g Ironside steak was delicious as ever. I usually get this, and I'm never disappointed! Steak was done nicely and really tasty! Chips are fresh and crispy. The garlic butter is a nice touch whether you leave it on your steak or leave it to melt over the chips:) and I never have any complaints about the rest of the dish. You will definitely be full after this meal. The protion sizes are generous at 1841.
Our waitress was friendly and accommodating. She mentioned that she was about 3 weeks new to the job, but we all thought she did a great job!

Absolutely live 1841. We've been going here weekly since moving to Johnsonville. They always got something going on (quiz nights or live music or food deals).
Came here after Xmas to try the new menu and it did not disappoint. There's really no bad food at 1841 so whatever you choose will be great however I highly recommend the Ribs or the Wedges.

A pretty decent place! Staff are very friendly, prices are really good and food is very tasty. One of the best bars I've been to in a while. They also have a nice outdoor area and a flash gambling area.

A good place to hang out with friends in Johnsonville for a drink and nice food. I had the vegetarian lasagne. It was yum.. 😋

The Hop Scotch was burnt, and the Glenside Chowder was so watery, its not creamy at all, from what my friend said when she came. Also found prawn shell in the chowder. So disappointed.

This would be our 3rd visit together as a
3-some as it's usually 4 of us.
Lil sis, mum and I enjoyed our lovely starters of twister prawns followed by our lovely main meal of steak, chicken, and burger meal with lovely salad and hot chips. The service also so good as usual, considering the many diners in at the time... See you next time and thanks again for always such a great meal and likewise service.

Came here recently with work (Dec 2021). Oh my gosh the food here is delish. I had the Mrs Claus xmas breast and the cheesecake which was lemon flavoured. I was full, and didn't finish the dessert. Staff are awesome too.
You can park on Countdown carpark, and walk over, and show your Covid pass at the door. You need a mask to enter but not while at the table.
I'll definitely be back.

Went for brunch. My bench mark for any brunch place is are their poached eggs runny. 1841 served the best poached eggs I've ever had. The Island Bay pork sausage yummy. Crispy hash browns. Bacon and tomatoes. Even the bread is worth a mention all yummy. One of the best points is portion size not too small, not too big just right.
Highly recommended.
